I think if Brian Wilson can play P4k, than John Cale isn't that much of a stretch. Brian Wilson was playing other festivals and was actively touring his album show throughout the US. John Cale played a couple one off shows and as you yourself have pointed out 2018 isn’t the 50th anniversary of the album he was played by shows for. Not the same thing. |

i think we all agree it is unlikely and would be surprising if john cale is on the p4k lineup.
however, dirty projectors played 2 one off shows last year and one was pitchfork and the other was in new york. it's not a stretch that they could book a one off john cale velvet underground show. they're good at getting those mid-level rarities.

Brian Wilson toured the Pet Sounds 50th anniversary for almost 2 years. It's not that much of a stretch.

spicy in the same way my family thinks chipotle peppers are hot.
