Courtney by a mile. Kurt is fine, but I've never found his stuff particularly exciting or engaging.

Fun fact: I thought Barns Courtney was just a board way of referring to Barnett, and not a different band!

I'm voting for Kurt because his tunes have been in my life for a lot longer and have meant quite a lot more to me. But hot damn I'm excited about where Courtney's gonna go from here.
That album is *fire emoji* by the by

obviously courtney barnett is way better live.
studio recordings-wise, it's tougher because kurt vile has like several classic or really great albums. he has an incredible discography all the way through, really. courtney barnett's double ep is amazing and her debut album is good. her next album is pretty key to seeing how it'll go but i expect awesome things.
can't vote against courtney barnett, though, since she's one of my fav up and comers that i've followed in my music listening life.

New album isn't good. I love Courtney, though. Also Kurt Vile is pretty boring live. So yeah, Courtney gets my vote.

Courtney is a great lyricist and Kurt doesn't even show up to his own tequila tastings, easy choice

Kurt Vile makes Courtney Barnett release worse music, fuck Kurt Vile. dumb opinion. instead of a new kv record and new cb record, we get a chill collaborative album plus the two records we were already gonna get.

definitely kurt. courtney has a few bangers live but i've never liked an entire record from her. kurt has several albums i love and he always puts on a good, jammy kinda show.
collab album is very meh on both their parts tho.

Man I was really psyched for that collaboration but it's such a letdown.

Courtney's clever lyrics win.

Barnett all the way. There's exactly one Kurt Vile tune I've wanted to listen to more than once ("Pretty Pimpin"). I don't hate his other stuff; I just find it to be dull.

Easy choice for me - Courtney. She is much more interesting, "Pretty Pimpin" not withstanding.

Also, Kurt wins on for Smoke Ring for My Halo alone.

I want to see them do like a poster or a magazine photo or something where they parody the Sassy cover with Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain.

definitely prefer courtney, but kurt's got some great tracks, too.
also, kurt was awesome at the VU & Nico show with John Cale last week.

Based on sheer quality of output I'm going with Kurt. To me he hasnt made a bad record in awhile.

I like Kurt but my gut made me vote for Courtney. Might be because just last week I was re-appreciating how terrific Depreston is
