Curious about festival attendance on this board. What was the last multi day festival you attended for every day? If you didn't attend every day, what was the last one you attended only one or a couple of days? How many have you attended total? Have you traveled abroad for a festival? Do you still go to multi day festivals at all, or just standalone shows?

I'll start. Last year I attended Coachella and Lollapalooza for every day, and two days of Riot Fest. Have no desire to quit going to festivals at this time unless my financial situation drastically changes. Edit: I plan on attending Coachella again this year, and if the lineup is shaping up like I think it will most likely four days of Lolla too. Very interested in Dangelo day of Pitchfork if that actually happens Edit2: I'll add all the festivals I've attended for at least one day Bonnaroo 14, 15, 19 Pitchfork 15, 16 (Sat/Sun), 19, 21 (Fri/Sun) Lollapalooza 15 (Fri), 16, 17, 18, 19, 21 (Thur/Sun), 22 North Coast 17 (Fri), 18 (Sun) Mo Pop 18 (Sun) Detroit Movement 19 Arc 21 Riot Fest 21 (Sun), 22 (Fri/Sun) Coachella 22
Gone but not forgotten festivals
Freaky Deaky 15 (Sat), 16 (Sat) React NYE 15, Mamby 16 (Sat), 17 (Sun) Sacred Rose 22 (Fri/Sat)

Let's see if I can still remember this
Lollapalooza 12 Bonnaroo 13 Lollapalooza 13 Bonnaroo 14 Pitchfork 14 Riot Fest 14 Pitchfork 15 Lollapalooza 15 (Friday only) Outside Lands 16 (Friday and Saturday only) FYF 16 Coachella 17 Bonnaroo 17 Coachella 18 Pitchfork 21 Lollapalooza 21 Riot Fest 21 (I think Sat/Sun only) Pitchfork 22 Riot Fest 22 (Sunday only)
Off the top of my head without spending time on it.
edit: There are two Mo Pops in there, one is 2015, other one might be 2018?
edit: oh Homecoming in 2018 and Governors Ball in 2019
edit: Afropunk Atlanta I think 2019 (Sunday only)
edit: Dirtnap 2022 (Saturday only), North Coast 2013 (Sunday only)

Last one I went to was Big Ears last year. I can still do multi-day fests, though most of the ones I've liked are now gone (ATP, Fun Fun Fun Fest, Day For Night, etc) or have gone to booking too much stuff I don't care for (Lolla, Coachella).
Festivals where I've gone all the days? I'd say between 15-20.
edit: Yeah, I traveled abroad for a festival, ATP Iceland 2015.

Lolla 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. Bonnaroo 14 Pitchfork 17 EDC Chicago
Pretty much all of "big" festivals I've been to. I've been to a lot of smaller ones around the midwest.
I've pretty much stopped going to big festivals because of line up quality and the ones that are great, are too expensive.

I went to a bunch of the Chicago Lollas back when it was relatively easy to get the cheap “golden tickets” and/or I was gifted VIP passes from C3 as a thank you for moderating the old board. Also made the trip to ACL a couple of times about 10-12 years ago. And multiple Pitchforks, Riot Fests and Intonation Fests.
Once I got to a certain age, I started feeling like the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze anymore for festivals. I decided I’d rather spend that money on the individual acts I really wanted to see performing full sets in proper venues.
I did travel to Shoals Fest in Florence, Alabama in 2021 to see Centro-matic reunite in addition to Slobberbone, DBT, Lucinda Williams, and Isbell. That was my last “full” festival (but it was just one stage, two days). Before that, my last full Lolla must have been like 2011 or something.

Last multi-day major fest I attended for the full 3 days was in 2018, and Denver hasn't had one since. This thread has re-broken my heart.

Lolla 2013-18 Pitchfork 2017, 2019 Big Ears 2022-23
And I think that's it? I did a day of Pitchfork 2016 and Innings 2018 too, if memory serves.

I went to Lollapalooza every year from 2007 through 2016. Most of the time, I went to all the days.
Went to Pitchfork between 2008 and 2017, sometimes 3 days, sometimes just a day.
Have been to Riot Fest since 2013, usually all 3 days, but only one day last year.
Psycho Las Vegas since 2018. Hope it comes back next year.
Outside Lands in 2017 BottleRock in 2019 Chicago Open Air (RIP)
More likely to pick and choose a day or two of a fest based on lineup/schedule.

I went to two days of Lolla last year, which is prob the max I can handle at the festivals here in Chicago. I didn't even stay for more than one or two acts each day I was there.
I've been to festivals abroad, but I won't go to those for more than one day because I don't travel specifically for the festival. The festivals usually just happen to take place while I'm already there to do other stuff. Plus, a festival like British Summer Time is 10 days or whatever, and I'm not going or paying for that many days.

riot fest 2022 is the last one i attended every day.
pitchfork x10 lollapalooza x5 riot fest x5 primavera sound x4 intonation x2 north coast x2 all points east flow forecastle fun fun fun green man hardly strictly bluegrass hinterland orion ruido fest way out west (and several smaller "fests" like cmj or hideout block party)
yes. all points east 2019, flow 2015, green man 2015, way out west 2011, primavera 2011/2012/2013/2016
going to shows/fests is always lineup-dependent for me.

I used to really like festivals and went to a lot of them!
What was the last multi day festival you attended for every day? Milwaukee Psych Fest 2019
If you didn't attend every day, what was the last one you attended only one or a couple of days? Pitchfork 2019, Sunday
How many have you attended total? No idea. Been to Lolla, Pitchfork, Riot Fest, ACL, SXSW, Austin Psych Fest, Treasure Island, Sasquatch (RIP) multiple times. One offs were CMJ, Bonnaroo, Austin Psych Fest, Fuck Yeah Fest, PJ20 (not sure this counts?), Milwaukee Psych Fest, Hoxeyville, Pilgrimage, Lilith Fair, North Coast, Mad Decent, GoogaMooga, Chicago Bluegrass & Blues, Bridge School, not counting all the local street fests, Summerfest, etc.
Have you traveled abroad for a festival? Does One Big Holiday count?
Do you still go to multi day festivals at all, or just standalone shows? The bigger festivals don't really do it for me these days, but I still like the smaller niche fests, though I would like to go to Glastonbury someday maybe. And maybe Trans-Pecos, Hardly Strictly, and Pickathon.

Ok i got into this
What was the last multi day festival you attended for every day? Sustain-Release, tho idk if that really counts cause its so little. I haven't been to a big or even mid size festival since III points 2019.
Have you traveled abroad for a festival? primavera. And Afropunk JoBurg (tho that was for work). traveled within the country for plenty more.
Do you still go to multi day festivals at all, or just standalone shows? Sure yolo. Hitting a few this year.
How many have you attended total?
Ok this is where I decided to really nerd out. I'm including fests I worked at / on, cause whatever I was there and saw some music.

What was the last multi day festival you attended for every day? ACL 2019
If you didn't attend every day, what was the last one you attended only one or a couple of days? Riot Fest 2022, Sunday.
How many have you attended total? Oof. Lollapalooza 2011-2017, Riot Fest 2012-2022, Bonnaroo 2012-2014, Pitchfork 2012, 2016-2018, Summerfest 2011, 2015, 2019, ACL 2019, Chicago Open Air 2019, Mamby 2017, Sacred Rose 2022. Also Ozzfest 1997 & PJ20
Have you traveled abroad for a festival? No
Do you still go to multi day festivals at all, or just standalone shows? Since my son was born I would feel guilty attending every day of a multi-day festival. Maybe when he gets old enough to attend I'll start again, but for now I will only do single days.

I went to every day of Riot Fest last year, mostly do full fests except in situations like lolla last year where I didn’t care much for the lineup or stuff where my schedule is a little weird due to work (which is no longer an issue at my job).
I was a little late in my festival going game but
Lolla 2015 (just Sunday), 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 (just Friday)
Pitchfork 2019 (Saturday/Sunday), 2021, 2022
Riot Fest 2018, 2019 (Saturday/Sunday), 2021, 2022
Homecoming 2018
Dirtnap 2022
Summer Camp 2018 (Sunday)
I have not travelled internationally for a festival. If I’m going international I’d probably have to convince my wife to come with me and she doesn’t really care for the rest environment that much. I’m open to the concept in theory though.
I will continue going to multi-day fests until I stop having fun at them.

1. Coachella, Lolla, and Pitchfork every day for me last year. Would've done Riot Fest but for a combination of factors I never made it over despite having a ticket.
2. I can't remember the last time I went to Riot Fest all 3 days. Because I am a dumbass, I usually only go 1 or 2 days despite having a 3 day pass.
3. In order of where they traditionally appear in the calendar year:
Coachella (13.1, 16.1, 22.1, 23.1) Shaky Knees (2015) Pitchfork (2011-preseant) Lollapalooza (2012, 2013, 15-18, 21-present) Riot Fest (2012-14, 16, 17, 21 for one day) Day For Night 2016
4. I have not traveled abroad. I have seen most of this country (unfortunately) and haven't gone abroad as much, and I'm pretty adamant that my first time abroad (at least in Europe) is not going to revolve around a music festival. Having said that, I would like to do Primavera Barcelona and Glastonbury one of these days.
5. I think the reason that I'm still going to multi-day festivals is that my music tastes have expanded as I've gotten older. Which means that I am inclined to like whatever old school indie act Lolla books the same day some pop star is headlining. However, the Chicago fests never feel like the break from reality that I used to have (they functioned as vacations, now they just function as weekend plans, if that makes sense). I still see myself basically going to Pitchfork and Lolla every year. Riot Fest I stopped because of my then job obligations (would usually need to be somewhere else in the midwest that sunday night) but I'd certainly consider going again, especially (but not specifically) if they move out of Douglass Park. Unless my current girlfriend falls in love with Coachella like I did, this is probably the last year I'm heading there for a while. I wouldn't rule out traveling for another domestic music festival but I also don't expect a domestic festival other than Coachella to like, book a lineup worth traveling for in 2023 and beyond.

One thing I'll add based on tweet's comments. I still am happy seeing bands in tiny venues as much as possible, but I have pretty much given up on seeing shows at theaters like hte Chicago and Auditorium, and most shows at the UC and such. Now that it's regularly costing $100 a ticket for a show, I'm just not going to go. I'm fine with waiting to see if those bands end up headlining a festival, and if the rest of the lineup makes it worth it, I'd rather spend the money and get a full day at a festival instead of a shitty seat at a venue.

What was the last multi day festival you attended for every day? The Rumble 2022, but I don't know if we're counting single stage venue fests. That's kind of just like going to a show two days in a row. Had tickets for Movement last year until Skrillex backed out. Before that the last full one I've done is Lolla 2021.
If you didn't attend every day, what was the last one you attended only one or a couple of days? Lolla 2022, Thursday.
How many have you attended total? If we're talking every day, Lollapalooza 2005-2018 and 2021, Riot Fest 2012-2019, can't remember how many years of Pitchfork and don't want to look it up, a couple years of North Coast, a couple Mambys, Wavefront when that was a thing, Arc once, two years of Day for Night. I'm sure there are one or two I'm forgetting.
Have you traveled abroad for a festival? No, and I don't think I ever would except in a city that isn't a haul and that I've spent time in otherwise like Mexico City or somewhere in Canada. I just would have way too much guilt about travelling across the world to stand in a field for a week instead of spending as much time as I could exploring.
Do you still go to multi day festivals at all, or just standalone shows? I still go to festivals but I'm much more selective than I used to be. It's easier for me to travel now than it was when I was younger and a lot of fests catch my eye around the country, I'm more likely to go to one in another city than here. If the lineup is good I'm going to go to Sound and Fury in LA this year and my wife has drawn me into a lot more niche techno/house/edm stuff that pops up around the country as well. I'm more likely to do something smaller like that with one or two stages than a big C3 festival, although on the electronic side a lot of those niche festivals are starting to get a lot bigger, and the bigger fests are booking more of the niche stuff.

I think for anything larger than like Chicago Theatre/Salt Shed it's a hard sell for me unless it's a good act I've somehow never seen, or if it's one of my favorites. And looking at my sheet, I've seen most of the good bands now.
