I collect vinyl. I don’t have that one…it’s just a really good album.

Another good one. Great title track…very quotable. Got high a lot my freshman year of college and listened to that album.

Not cheap but not doing anything stupid (ie not going over $1k)

Tweet or anyone else what record player should I get? I've had this guy for several years and have been extremely happy with it The pro ject Carbon's are supposedly really great but they get up towards the stupid end of the range. Audiotechnica makes very quality machines and I know a bunch of past and present boarders have/had have them, myself included. It looks like they discontinued making the 120 which struck the balance between budget and quality, but it looks like they've got some replacements on their site for the same sort of price range that it was

Didn't realize they discontinued the 120. That was my starter turntable, which I set up at my desk at work after I upgraded.

Yesterday my wife, her folks, and I went to a few antique malls. I realized when I got there, 'hey I have a turntable now I should look for records!' Flipping through assorted crates of records for a while is kind of sensory overload, I felt I was always seeing the same Al Hirt, Barbara Mandrell, and Barry Manilow Live! albums. I picked up a few:
The Screaming Blue Messiahs - Gun-Shy The Screaming Blue Messiahs - Peel Session Was (Not Was) - Born to Laugh at Tornadoes Boomtown Rats - A Tonic For the Troops
