Well, I now have a wife. But, I also have another ex-girlfriend, so you know, trade-offs.

There's a bunch of other stuff I did too. Despite the year being shit from like a global perspective, it was a pretty good year for me personally

achieved none of my goals for this year but i did get a new job with way less stress and more money, and i started what is arguably my first serious relationship ever. so that's cool.
didn't travel as much as last year but did get to some pretty spectacular and longer trips than i usually get to go on so i actually had time to explore socal, vegas, philly, pittsburgh, nyc, hopefully houston, etc.
a very fun year, all roadbumps aside.

Outside of like the awful stuff happening in the country, this has been on a personal level probably the best year of my life so far. Settled into a new job that I really enjoy right now, finally moved to a big city, went to tons of concerts, lost about 30 pounds and still going at it, made a ton of new friends, tried picking up new skills, found new hobbies, traveled a ton and saw a ton of new places, finally watched one of my professional sports teams win a championship, and I really feel like I'm finally kind of coming into my own as a person. I've made huge strides in fixing some of what I've always considered to be my biggest personal problems too.
its been nice

I got engaged, I started my last year of school and got the ball rolling on a serious research project to finish out my degree. I managed to survive massive turnover in my office and am part of a team that is set up to field questions and implement changes to prevent similar turnover in the future. I got to know the family I’m marrying into a lot better, which has been really fun. All in all, it’s been a busy year but a really good one.

I started moonlighting, which will bring in enough money to cover future office expenses.
better half reached 1 yr after transplant, and is down to one Rx from the original 13, and rides the bike at the gym, and has gone to seven concerts / shows, so she's good to go.
and, two of the donald's goons have pleaded guilty, with hopefully more to come in 2018!

Finally got my ass to a festival on another continent.
Got myself another tattoo, as well, which I had been wanting to do for almost twenty years.
That might be it for the highlights.

Despite the tumultuous times, there were some personal bright spots: - Snorkeled in the ocean with my 4yr-old - Kicked my multi-Coke-a-day habit - Deactivated my Facebook account - Cardiologist took me off hypertension meds (at least temporarily) - In N Out announced they are coming to Colorado

Yeah I deactivated my Facebook too back in July, and it feels great. I miss RSVPing to events but at least Bandsintown has that feature.

One of my new year's resolutions should be deactivating my facebook next year. I doubt I'll do it though

I deactivate every now and then, but I'm overall just way less active on Facebook than I have been previously. I suppose it also helps that Facebook is pretty much all just garbage now. At least, that's the state of the feed that it shows me.

Hmm...
Maintained a relationship with my girlfriend (so far). Finally saw Protomartyr (twice). Completed production on a second EP with my band. Had to put my oldest beagle down. Didn't kill anyone.

I became a manager (and managed not to screw up too badly so far), I passed the threshold of 60 countries, relationship is still going strong (4 years and counting) - I guessed that's pretty much it.
