Yeah, I've noticed that the number of christmas cards my parents get has dropped from like 40 to 1 or 2 per year. If someone wants to see the shit I do on an annual basis or photos of me/my fiancee/my cats, I post that shit on all my social media on a regular basis and people should probably just get an instagram.

I stopped sending out Christmas cards when the cost of a stamp exceeded the value I placed on the relationship with the recipient. I am down to my mother, brother and sister and it's getting iffy with them.

I wish that answer was funnier but it just makes me sad. Oh I agree, but it's really strange and jarring to have it pop up in the context of a family trip to Florida. "We all had a great time on our annual trip to Disney! Oh, and Todd lost his foot." |

Had the nicest day with my friend and her kids. They were so... well behaved and talkative and smart. I'm starting to think I got a bum deal with my own niece and nephew.

I did not attend this festival. My brother did, however, and says it isn't the same as it was last year. Everyone (save for the boarders there) is awful, apparently.
That reversed touchdown call at the end of the Steelers-Pats game was bullshit. That was a catch. How has the NFL not figured out what a catch is yet? JFC

My wife has some family members that send two page updates every Christmas, and they are always super depressing. One just randomly mentioned that their son had lost a foot. I laughed so hard that I snorted. Does this make me a terrible person? I'm saying no. |

Even with Oscar hype there aren't usually that many movies that I really want to see. This year is different as I'd like to see 3 Billboards, Lady Bird, The Shape of Water and Call Me By Your Name.
Hopefully I'll actually get out to see a couple of those.
