My first "serious" listen of ska music was when I had a Portuguese pressing of the Madness album (which I've since traded in). I've dabbled on and off but nothing truly from the genre has grabbed me until this Plastic Presidents album came out last month, which I'm posting again below.

never liked ska or reggae when I first heard them in the late 1970s and early 1980s. now they are my favorite genres of music.

Saw this band at a free show in KC a few years ago. Best Ska music I've seen live.

i have no idea what my introduction to ska was, but third wave's what i know best. my first ska show was the mighty mighty bosstones and spring heeled jack at lehigh university in april 1996. from then until january 2001, my show history is littered with a ton of ska shows.
hepcat and dance hall crashers were two favorites.
as i've gone through the laborious task of entering my music collection into discogs, i've been stunned at how much some ska albums go for these days.
