I think Portland will try to hold onto Dame and if they trade him it'll be mid season. They really should trade him though IMO, Scoot is such a good piece to build around and Sharpe isn't a bad complimentary piece either. That's a solid base plus whatever you get for Dame. The longer they hold onto him the less the return could be, and I don't think they win with him I've heard Strus tied to the Pacers and I could see that. I'm split on Brown, I actually think there's a real chance he does the 1 year with Denver with a handshake agreement for a longer bigger contract after that year, even though that's risky, as James Harden is finding out now. I'm not sure I see Brown just taking the MLE somewhere. I heard the Lakers are prepping to offer him the MLE ($12.8mil I believe) and he'd be great for them but I don't see him taking it. I'd think Denver or some team offering him closer to $15-17 million. Speaking of Harden, feel like he'll get traded to the Clippers. I think the Rockets will get Fred VanVleet and one of Dillon Brooks or Kyle Kuzma. I would much rather Kuzma, although I wish they were targeting Bruce Brown over both of them but haven't heard them attached. There's a few teams with cap room that I haven't heard tied to many free agents that I'm certain will make some surprise signings. The Thunder are in a place to try to round out the roster and go for it this year and have cap room they probably won't have again for a while, they should be targeting someone. The Magic have gathered enough young talent to try to turn it on too. |

denver cannot offer brown 15M this season I should have worded that better. I think he signs with Denver for the 7.8 million for 1 year, whatever the max they could offer him is, OR signs with some other team for closer to $15-17 million ish. I don't see him taking an MLE to leave Denver |

I figured he might go a little longer term than that Good deal for the Pacers, overpay on the yearly but the team option makes it really low risk |

The moratorium on RFA's kind of screws them. Teams don't want to hold up all that cap room and miss out on other free agents
That's a steal for Reaves and how good he was in the playoffs. Lakers are having a very good off-season
