then he ran for mayor in 2019, where the traditional republican candidate called him a Hillary supporter, noted by a huge attack billboard that person put up against Buzbee calling him a "hillary supporter" and a "demorat" (may have actually helped Buzbee in Houston), and the incumbent democratic candidate called him a trump supporter (which was much closer to the truth, for the record, hes quite trump-esque and apparently donated to Trump). just to note, we don't technically have parties for our mayor races in houston, meaning there's no primaries, so it was an open race between those three. that might be the case everywhere, not really sure

his whole argument was that hes so rich that he doesnt need to be mayor and the current mayor does need it for the money so that'd make him better. 

Buzbee is also an alcoholic, and that can be evidenced by his "victory" speech the night when he made the run-off election against our incumbent mayor, Sylver Turner (the dem leaning candidate), and was clearly fucking sloshed

Buzbee lost that race for mayor, and has been making moves to keep his name in the news likely for a run at mayor in 2023, since our current mayor is term limited and can't run again. Fun fact, Bun B has started an exploratory committee to run for mayor and has basically said if Turner doesn't have an obvious replacement he will run just to keep Buzbee from winning. also fun fact, i will be supporting bun b in this scenario

So naturally, there was some skepticism when the very first lawsuit came out, because Buzbee has quite clearly been trying to do things to make a name for himself. But obviously that has subsided with the sheer number of lawsuits out against Watson. And Buzbee, for all the craziness, is a very successful lawyer. and a hilarious story all around, as long as he never actually ends up mayor

regardless of all this, it is clear that deshaun watson is a fucking monster and horrible human, and in some ways Buzbee has played this very well to make sure people believe the women in it, so credit where credit is due

My post clearly came off in incredibly poor taste, I should have either not made it or at the very least done it in another less serious thread, and for that I apologize, but I did not mean to minimize how much an absolute piece of shit Watson was or the victims trauma, Buzbee is a very well known character around town here and I just thought his story was a crazy one while we were making jokes about him 

Clearly it came off like I was minimizing the cases of the victims and that was a tone deaf mistake. For that I apologize.
