I'm a little more upset than most because I was wrongfully accused years ago. I caught on that there was clearly something being said about me, that someone had obviously accused me of some heinous shit. I finally got someone to admit what was being spread and I kid you not: it spurned from a fucking Shaun Of The Dead joke. I was labeled hyper obsessive because two years after I split from someone, another guy who was friends with her noticed I had a board on my fridge with: 1) Visit Mum 2) Get Liz Back 3) Sort Out Life Yes, the ex in question was a Liz. Seems funny writing it out, but seriously my group largely abandoned me because of the rumor. The woman i was seeing at the time dumped me because one of them called her to warn her. And it was total bullshit over a Shaun of the Dead joke. Years and years later (we are all friends again by the way except for one....) we found out who started it: jealous secret crush on Liz /the woman who dumped me. Surprisingly he has never apologized or talked to anyone in the group in years. Fuck him. |

Yeah I have no idea about your personal experience with this stuff beyond what you just posted but she included a ton of detail and cited evidence. There is no reason to doubt her version of events.

What was the Shaun of the Dead joke? Shaun wrote that on a board on his fridge before passing out in the movie. I was given a board like that as a x-mas gift and wrote that on it. |

Oh totally fine. Only throwing out there long known "off the record" issues with artists. I'm frankly surprised if anyone in music with any following hasn't done something. Rape? Awful and inexcusable and you should be tarred, feathered and jailed. Luring young (BUT LEGAL) peeps backstage? Kind of the norm, as gross as it is. I don't know if the rape accusation is true for Maynard. Inside? I sure hope it isn't. However, I'll be damned if I'm going to call the accuser a liar. That's garbage. I'll also refrain from tarring Maynard. Is he likely a prick? Yup! Did he rape someone back in the 90s or 2000s? Let's find out and if there's merit, he should do time. I'm just very hesitant to throw judgement before everyone has a chance to react/defend/etc. |
