It's a 10 minute walk from the Oak Park blue line stop so yeah no issue getting there probably not gonna spend 45 minutes on the blue line at 2 in the morning

Damn can't find the full lineup but Square Roots is fantastic too:
Square Roots Festival with Jayhawks, Pokey LaFarge, Matthew Sweet, Bombino, Dream Syndicate, and more Lincoln between Montrose and Wilson, 7/13-15

Much more musician friendly nad never packed. They let (almost begged) the Meat Puppets to go 45 minutes over their set time until as close to 11 as they could and gave lucero a full hour and a half set last year extremely extremely good fest.

It's a 10 minute walk from the Oak Park blue line stop so yeah no issue getting there probably not gonna spend 45 minutes on the blue line at 2 in the morning Oh that's not bad. A coworker lives out there and takes some sort of bus once he gets off the blue line. It sounds like the most miserable thing, but he is kind of a miserable dude.

This could go in like 12 different threads but American Music Festival @ Fitzgeralds was released and the lineup is fantastic: 6/29 James McMurtry, Eric Lindell, The Band of Heathens, Bob Schneider, Alice Drinks the Kool Aid, Sam Lewis, Marcella & Her Lovers, Brian Johannesen, The chagrined Dogs, Curtis McMurtry, Brett Newski, Jenny Bienemann & Friends, Bitters. 6/30 Joe Ely Band, Kelly Willis, Sarah Shook & the Disarmers, Flirting with Time: A Tribute to Tom Petty, Jon Dee Graham, Ruby Boots, Vanessa Davis, Kevin Gordon Band, Devil in a Woodpile, Katy Guillen & the Girls, Wild Skies, Northside Barbershop Quartet, JP Cyr & the Midnight Men 7/1 Marcia Ball Band, C.J. Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band, Banditos, John Moreland, Geno Delafose, Archie Bell, Miles Nielsen & the Rusted Hearts, Sarah Borges & the Broken Singles, Expo ’76, Zephaniah Ohora, Josefina, Al Scorch, The Belvederes, Kevin A. Prchal, Ron Lazzeretti, Cannonball, Bunkertown, The Menards 7/3 Nick Lowe with Los Straitjackets, Blackfoot Gypsies, Robbie Fulks with Linda Gail Lewis and Redd Volkaert, Nikki Hill, Tributosaurus becomes The Band, Charlie Parr, Luke Winslow King, Jaime Wyatt, Dave Herrero, Fox Crossing Stringband, Dowd/Drew, The Heavy Sounds, The Sunshine Boys Don’t think I’ve heard of a single act here 🤷🏻♀️

Don’t think I’ve heard of a single act here 🤷🏻♀️ I've seen the Joe Ely Band 16 or 17 times; more than anyone else in the tk. He's not as great as when he had David Grissom on gtr back in the day, but no one else hammers a mike stand like Joe. I always yell for the cover of Terry Allen's "Gimme a Ride to Heaven," because it's not always on his planned setlist, and it just begs to be heard.

I’ve never seen Jayhawks, Matthew Sweet and Dream Syndicate, so this is going to be great. have seen steve when the dream syndicate was temporarily defunct, so will definitely go to see the reunited band; the most interesting thing about the jayhawks is when they back victoria williams, and that's not happening any more because olson and williams got divorced.

Square Roots Fest is totally chill. Love the lineup this year. Same for American Music Fest at Fitzgerald’s. Jon Dee Graham and Sarah Shook are tite. Nice score, Chicago.

I try to avoid hyperbole, but it’s absolutely worth going to Berwyn to see John Moreland.
