They're basically the state band of Colorado.

Sublime are legitimately great but there is no idea stupider than a huge sublime tour with Bradley's son

Sublime was good, but the band died with Bradley.

I did not think Sublime with Rome was in anyway a good interpretation of the music of Sublime, but Rome was such a bizarre wild card that it was less a depressing tribute act and more a bizarre if ultimately successful 2nd act pivot. Half their sets were (terrible) original tunes and they were still playing small sheds. the old sublime guys w. Bradleys 28 yo kid for a full tour is just kinda sad

they're fine. i saw them in '95 and thought they were entertaining. i think their albums are bloated. but there are a handful of good songs scattered among them.

Fine I'd see the new version if they played Riot Fest

I've never consciously listened to Sublime before (tho I'm sure I'll recognize some of their songs). I'll listen today and report back.

I never liked them - ok, 'Doin Time' is alright I guess - but I don't like reggae in general.

ah, the 'lollapalooza' logic - 10-15% of it is great, therefore the entire thing is good

Sugar Ray sucks.
Let's talk about how much Incubus rules now.

Pale Hose and postfontaine were the only people to list sublime on their '90s albums lists so they are the only boarders who are allowed to like sublime, sorry

What is Rome going to do next now that he's been replaced?
Queen with Rome? Replace John Mayer in Dead and Company? New Journey singer?

I still have no idea who Rome is and why he was notable enough to be included in the band name.

I still have no idea who Rome is and why he was notable enough to be included in the band name. I believe they had to include "with Rome" because the Nowell estate owned or controlled the rights to the name "Sublime".
