Some really baffling inclusions on that Pac NW box set. Would not advise as an entry point.
I second the 5/8/77 rec. I don't know if it's actually the best set from that leg but it's pretty lean by their standards and the quality is very high throughout. Basically from Brown Eyed Women on it's unstoppable.
Can't go wrong with Europe 72 either. That said I would have a hard time not suggesting the Workingman's / Beauty tandem as THE entry point for a Dead agnostic since it's a p compelling argument for their talents as songwriters. It's very often overlooked by their detractors.

hell yeah.
Also, I listened to The Pizza Tapes this weekend for the first time in a while and I actually think that would be a great entry point for someone who isn't particularly into jam bands. Some pretty simple folksy sounds with a good bit of jamming in there that isn't too pervasive or noodly.

This whole show is just phenomenal. There’s some interesting video of it on YouTube but I’d highly recommend not watching it at work since there is a fully naked dude dancing on the stage

Timed the morning commute perfectly with the 30-minute "Dark Star" - first time listening but this show rules. As to the video tho...turns out I'm the only one in my office all day today soooo

Not sure if I've posted about this one before on the Board, but I gave this favorite another spin today. Probably my favorite non-70s Dead show I've heard so far - Brent kills it with the harmonies throughout and Branford Marsalis shows up to deliver my favorite "Estimated Prophet" and an incredible "Bird Song". Only gripe is that the Dark Star > Drums > Space > Dark Star for 45 minutes in the middle is a bit much.

Ended up finding really good flights and now I'm going to the show first Saturday in August at the Sphere. Can't say I'm super well versed out of their bigger songs and Europe '72. Anybody have a good Spotify live playlist I can just through on shuffle?

Someone put this one together, it’s like 300 hours and it’s a very good sampling from across their career

Some live album standards in case that's overwhelming (full of songs they'll be likely to play at your show):

I just gotta say that I definitely saw this piece (or a variation of it) at Shakedown at the Tuscany last weekend. Was tempted just for the memes

Mayer is playing the remaining shows without using his left index finger.
