as someone who hates all new wave, I used to hate both devo and the cars. However, seeing devo at lolla (2010?) on the south stage while standing next to devo fanatic and board member Cosmo changed my mind completely. If not excellent, devo is certainly a very, very, good band. easy vote for devo in this poll.

Devo for sure, but I loved the Cars hits as a kid.

They're both fine...but Devo broke ground. The Cars simply followed along in ground that had already been broken.
This is like having a contest between Kraftwerk and any of the thousands of bands that prospered because of them.

I voted for the Cars because I enjoy their music more. If I made my decision based on any other reason it would be Devo because they were on Stiff Records

devo is a fun band and did a lot of good things for music.
the cars have a lot of great songs and were fun live.
went with the cars.
