This thread is literally the only time in my life I'm ever aware of the stock market. Godspeed, friends.

Yesterday was such a tease for the cruel kick in the nuts today Happy I bought puts yesterday but definitely sold them too early to buy calls today. Portfolio has swung back and forth a ton today from +32% at the highest to -25% at the lowest (this is my fun account not my retirement money)

Still seemed orderly. No panic. And that's not good. It won't be over until there's panic.
I nibbled a little today, but nothing to speak of.

I've been riding this thing down since Feb. Didn't buy today, since the market never even got as low as we were earlier this week.

www.cnn.com/markets/fear-and-greedI know this is just another thing that could be completely meaningless, but this index has been pretty good at calling tops and bottoms (panic). The bottom has been indicated when it drops to the mid single digits although the smart long term investor probably should be nibbling every time it gets below 25. To me, though, there's a ways to go. Today's early action (big green at the bell, fading to red before lunch) is another terrible sign. I want to see the opposite. 1000 points down at the open, indicating the alogs and weak hands have all capitulated. Currently at 40% cash, but even with all of that "safe" money, I'm down about 13% from the all time highs.

I am not planning on looking at my 401k for months at this point. Can't believe this is continuing like this.

Not to harp on my favorite indicator, but fear/greed dropped to 6 earlier this week. Can't go much lower.

Yeah I sold my calls this morning and bought puts so totally makes sense that we are absolutely mooning today.

Could be the last year of “free” elections we have tho why what's happening??? Let the record hold I wasn’t specifically trying to call you out (tho I’m aware it probably looks like I was). I had this exact conversation with my parents last night and….yeah!

Yeah this is brutal. S&P has fallen more this year than it did in '08 (raw numbers though, percentagewise still got a ways to go).
Just speechless at this point.

Part of my job requires me to contact a service group at Charles Schwab frequently and I’ve noticed that they’ve transitioned from pre-recorded market outlook chatter as their hold music to some royalty free guitar solos. It’s probably fine

I read somewhere that Zuck went from the third/fourth richest person in the world to somewhere in the 20's. Couldn't happen to a bigger dick.
