Congratulations Lollaboard. The 8-0 run on ACN calls heading into earnings is over. The calls hit the threshold on the bottom end, and were sold at a loss this morning...a victim of the overall selloff. I will look for a spot to re-enter, but generally don't try to "fix" something that didn't work.

Bought IQ $45 calls that expire on 7/20 during the dip this morning It was up 60% at one point but I'm holding until it expires or I get more. Pray for me. I am so happy I did not sell this. My break even is 48.60 on 7/20. Currently at 43.71, started below 40 today. Easy money.

c19 how have all these earnings been for you? My Robin hood account's gone up 115% in the past 10 days, mainly through pzza puts and nflx calls the day after their er that I bought at open and sold at close. Also made good $$$ playing msft er and doing amzn weeklies which is risky but the payoffs have been huge. Considering holding my amzn 1802.5 call that I bought yesterday at 49.75 (bought at 1:37, could not have timed that any better) and is worth 59.28 now. So tempting to sell and lock in what I have. Usually I do but with all the hype around er and after google crushed it I'm rolling the dice.

They've been OK, I'm probably green, but not by a whole lot.
I shorted NFLX (7/20 385 Puts) ahead of their earnings, which I unloaded at the next day's open for the biggest winner. I didn't take it as far as you did to open Calls during the dip, but the short was a 5-bagger. MSFT 7/27 106 Calls were a winner. INTC 7/27 52.50 Calls also +50%
Losers included BA 7/27 367.50 Calls MA 7/27 210 Calls TTWO 7/27 133 Calls MOMO 7/27 46.5 Calls
Currently open GOOG 8/17 1252.50 Calls (Opened after earnings) FB 8/17 210 Puts MRO 8/17 21 Calls MCD 9/21 155 Puts REGN 8/17 Straddle (380C/360P) VLO 8/17 113 Call (currently green and looking to close this today with earnings coming up)
Holding anything through earnings is like flipping a coin. I try to play pre- and post-earning momentum based on history, the NFLX short was an anomaly for me and very easily could have gone the other way. I also set my losers to bail at 40%, so as a general rule, I'm looking for winners to double at which point I take some off and play with the house money while never losing more than 50% on the mistakes. Some people like to play the lottos, but I'm OK with grinding out small gains in a choppy market.

Damn FB puts? I'm playing calls. Just sold one I had for a small profit during that run up today and will buy back in later. Prob not going to play amzn er, too much of a coward. If it goes bad it pretty much wipes out my portfolio. Even though I do think they'll crush.

Have you considered a put spread?
For example, sell 7/27 1800 Puts for a credit, and buy 7/27 1795 puts. You could collect around $2.30 on this spread making your maximum loss $2.70. In this scenario, you win (by keeping the premium) if it spikes higher, and only lose if it drops by more than $30.

Where are you getting the 2.3 and 2.7? I'm shit at posting images but will give this a shot
There has been some movement since I posted the price earlier, so the option prices have changed a bit. The image was from about 11:05AM and indicates that you can sell the 7/27 1800 put for a (mid-point) price of $26.20 and buy the 7/27 1795 put for a (mid-point) price of $24.18 which would net you $2.03 (down from the $2.30 I quoted earlier).
In this scenario, you collect $2.03 for each option.
The image is basing the "max gain" and "max loss" on a sale price of $1.30, but you should be able to get closer to the mid-point price. If we assume that $2.03 is a fair price for this trade, your max gain is $203 on a single contract. Since the contract has a spread of $5.00, your maximum loss is $500, but you've already collected $203, so your true max loss is $297.
If AMZN spikes on earnings as you expect, you'd do nothing and let both contracts expire and keep the $203 per contract. If AMZN drops on earnings and you let the contracts expire, you'd lose $297. Or, you can try to sell the contracts at a loss and mitigate the maximum loss somewhat. All of the figures do not include commissions.

Top 10 holdings (which make up 51% of the fund): Apple, Microsoft, Visa, Intel, Cisco, Mastercard, Oracle, NVIDIA, Facebook, IBM.
Essentially a large cap growth fund.
New 52 week high today.
The usual extremely cheap Vanguard fees at 0.10%
If you think there's room to run in the 10 stocks listed above, then this is a reasonably good place to track those returns.
I don't think a message board can give you a yes/no answer on this. Without knowing your situation, I doubt anyone can give you a yes/no answer.

Specializing in bad takes, top 5 lists, and brackets! We haven't had a good bracket in a while, should probably get that setup soon. Maybe 2018 festivals once Day for Night comes out?

Day for Night could literally post a video of a man punching himself in the dick as their lineup and half this board would be like “wow day4nite has done it again folks”. I understand and respect that they haven’t really used up everyone’s good will yet like all the other fests but also people have a serious hard on for them.

Oh I don't mean to appear sour about it! I agree they've been great lineups and while I can't speak for the vibes of the fest I imagine it is great. I was just making the point that Day for Night is gonna win any bracket on this board. dick punch away!
Some hard ons are well earned!
