Feeling like this is gonna be a “long pants” kind of fest which seems fun.

Yeah, I'm fine with that too. irvred, looks like one of the food vendors is a pizza place from Columbus? Do you recommend it? www.latenightslice.com/Also, just checked the FAQ page, it says re-entry is allowed for all ticketholders.

I love that they ban “inappropriate headdresses”

Late Night Slice is a single step above your standard chain pizza. It is relatively cheap and is there at all hours. People get real hyped about it but really their biggest selling point is that they are available to blackout drunks. I need to look at the whole list but I have to assume there are better food options

Have we discussed the map yet? The stages are at opposite ends so most of everyone will probably skip Alvvays/Julien Baker to camp for The National.

Not a whole lot of options unfortunately... Might be necessary to use the re-entry to get something decent at a restaurant nearby

The map and vendors are on the side listed under 'About.'

I imagine that it won’t be difficult to skip back and forth and not miss any of the sets. I’m not too worried and I think I’ll still run back and forth for the sets I wanna see

That's kind of a bummer anyways. I might be okay with staying close for Julien, since SUnday is going to be the best National set.

Also anecdote time: I worked at a Jeni's Ice Cream for years and on four different occasions had to pack ice cream up for The National's tour management because supposedly Matt Berninger kept requesting it. I can't imagine who fucked up hard enough that Ben and Jerry's is the official Homecoming ice cream.

And also this fest hasn’t sold out and I’m having a hard time believing there will be such a thing as a bad spot for any of these shows regardless

Have we discussed the map yet? The stages are at opposite ends so most of everyone will probably skip Alvvays/Julien Baker to camp for The National. This is a really weird decision considering that there is no overlap between the two stages. They must want people to keep walking back and forth all day.

Because a festival for National fans definitely wont have anyone who wants to camp out all day for them.

I'm guessing now this is going to be like it was at Laneway, where I was able to be on the front row for Sigur Ros, walked away during their last song, and ended up on the rail for the National

looks like the distance between stages is all of .25 miles.

I don’t think this changes much for me to be quite honest but maybe my opinion will change once I’m actually in the park. I don’t think I’ll skip Alvvays though

will prob have to leave fjm early to get to julien on time which is unfortunate, might go to alvvays until in undertow then head back east to west

Yeah, this mainly just means I'll need to leave Julien and Alvvays a song or two early, which I probably would have needed to do anyway to do a bathroom break / grab a drink for the National set. And given how far apart those stages are, it's not going to be a long walk.
