damn this guy is extremely online
"As the plane is going down, I am literally purchasing internet just so I can get some kind of communication to the outside world," he said.

Pro tip: the closer you get to the ground, the easier it is to connect with your mobile provider's network.

My turbulence last night was bad but not as bad as coming back to Nam when the plane fell, we went flying out of our seats and almost hit the ceiling, and the flight attendant said they're not getting up for the rest of the flight and to only call them if it's a medical emergency. Getting off the plane looked like a college party afterward, broken shit everywhere including glass.

One of my housemates from college was found dead by his parents. We weren't close mostly due to his alcoholism and political views, and he had been on a really chaotic downward spiral for the last ten years, but it's still sad to see someone die so young. He left behind an ex wife and two young sons. This is so sad for those he leaves behind

A Southwest Airlines flight landed safely in Philadelphia Tuesday after the jet violently depressurized when a piece of an engine flew into and broke a window, according to passenger accounts and the pilot's conversations with air traffic control.
One passenger's father-in-law, relaying information from his daughter, said the impact was so severe that a female passenger was partially sucked out of the plane when the window imploded.
“One passenger, a woman, was partially … was drawn out towards the out of the plane … was pulled back in by other passengers," he said in a phone interview with NBC10.FUCK apparently one person died It was the woman who nearly got sucked out of the plane. Two people pulled her back in, but it was too much.

- Yeah, I bet it takes only a few seconds of exposure to freeze to death.... looks like it two 2 people to pull her back in (and she was wearing a seat belt), but that she died for the head and neck injuries sustained during those few seconds she was sucked out What an horrible way of dying

All Bon-Ton related stores are closing/liquidating so if you guys have any Carson's coupons I'm fairly certain today and tomorrow are the last days you can use them. Used to work for Bergners, our bon-ton store. Very sad to see all of my friends hunting for other retail jobs when all of our major retail outlets that aren't Sears or JC Pennys have closed. Some friends of mine there have worked for Bergners for 20+ years as their sole source of income.

On May 11, Arctic Monkeys return with their new album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. According to an album bio on an event listing—and confirmed by the band’s representatives to Pitchfork—the record opens with Alex Turner singing about the Strokes. The first track, “Star Treatment,” begins, “I just wanted to be one of the Strokes, now look at the mess you made me make/Hitchhiking with a monogrammed suitcase, miles away from any half-useful imaginary highway.”
In a new interview with Mojo, Turner discussed the lyrics: “That’s me writing about writing,” he explained. “Did the Strokes line feel too close to home? Yeah, absolutely. But you can’t let that stop you.”

Maybe he's writing about the Voidz show at the Bottle. Topical!

glad the arctic monkeys aren't letting lyrics that feel too close to home stop them. now if only they wouldn't let the lollapalooza brass stop them from making hard rockin' riffs.

I'm staying with a friend/coworker in LA and he recently bought a house and they have an extra room and he brought up the idea of me moving into that extra room (after my lease is up in December) and the rent number he gave me is very affordable for the location and I could very likely keep this job while being there because my region is California anyway so it'd be cheaper for my company basically.
I've always told myself I want to try living somewhere else for like a year or two. And this wouldn't lock me into a lease if I hate it and want to move back after just a few months or something which is pretty big.
I obviously need to think about this when I'm not actually in LA but the idea is intriguing. Also I'd get every tour ever that'd be pretty sweet

The guy who shot all those people in a Waffle House this morning is from morton, which is just down the road from Peoria. Pretty fucked up to think that based on his age and location I’ve probably got 5 or 6 aquaintences in common at least.

Don't have any strong opinion on Jake's because its so close to L&L that I would never need to go there but they did have the cutest giant dog and than i walked by and they had a big sign outside that said "no dogs allowed" but the cute giant dog was still there

Somehow that doesn't surprise me? I've noticed a slow decline since I first moved up here, but it used to be a real cool spot that my friends and I semi-frequented when I lived in Lincoln Park. They seem to be going for the MAGA crowd now
