Goldfish I wasn't looking and a gap commercial played before the track and I just assumed it was the song and I thought it was kind of interesting how it just got right into it but than the actual song played and it was "fun" post-bloodhound gang electronic music and I wanted to stick my headi n a blender.
Alex Lahey I saw her at SubT because Dude York opened who are one of the best bands but she was good too I guess she is huge in Australia which is cool. Imagine if people did songwriter focused rock music in america what a wild time it would be for all
Pale Waves it seems exhausting to build a full band goth asthetic and than play the most down the middle indistinct early 2000s songwriter focused pop. Like this is an evanesence video with the sound of any number of major label acts signed post Faith Hill:

He is absolutely enormous with my students. most of the chicago rap is billed really low for some reason which is weird given their relative popularity, the amount of teens from the suburbs of chicago that go to this festival and the headliners but you gotta give lolla credit they aren't trying to sell tickets to this thing which is cool |

The Coronas Woah we might have a new worst band on the lineup. What Rainbow Kitten Bullshit had in faux self awareness these guys make up with in complete lack of self awareness. I can't even describe it. It's like if James Blunt fronted Hinder and they tried to sound like Coldplay? I don't know man its pretty outstandingly bad i'm at a loss.

Sasha Sloan - Falls somewhere between radio pop and electro folk and not really comfortable either place. Haven't don't this in long enough that I can't remember whats bad and whats good.
Freya Ridings - My homeroom advisor in high school once got mad at us after the talent show because she saw we were clapping for acts that were terrible. We confronted her about what seemed like a horrible thing to say and she responded "if we encourage them now, they are going got think it's something they should pursue forever" and I thought that was a horribly cruel way to look at it until I listened to the allergy attack stylings of Freya Ridings.
Supa Bwe - One of the most exciting rapping currently, although I think he was even better in Hurt Everybody, this is a cant miss set if your going to this dumb festival.

I saw Excision open for deadmau5 way back in 2011. Doors were at 7, Excision tore it up 8pm-11pm

Nick Mulvey I HATE the song on the lolla website but I really like his voice and I refuse to listen any further so I'm just gonna put him in the Perry made us do it and someone tell me if im wrong.
Dream Wife There's clearly a like Wolfmother level reverence to early 2000s "punk" without the chops but this is also the kind of act Lolla should be booking vs. bottom of the barrel folk pop with drops.
Clairo This is totally great fun, funny, great indie bedroom pop how did it get booked on this lineup with all of the major label trash is her last name Monsanto or something?

And yea, reddit has been crying "industry plant" at every talented female songwriter on the rise lately (see: Soccer Mommy, Phoebe Bridgers) but with Clairo they might actually be right.
