Just noticed there's a 14 day free trial of the Criterion Channel and might try to take advantage of that to see how many classics I can watch.

have you ever wanted to own a whole boxset solely of movies that are 1 or 2 stars on the chaos scale?

![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/bd/Brittany-runs-a-marathon-Movie-HD-Poster-and-stills-2.jpg) Expected to enjoy this more. Really abrupt shift from Brittany being kind of an asshole to fixing everything in her life. based on this poster this might be the worst movie ever made

we rewatched Inside Out saturday and i dont think eric was prepared to see how much that movie makes me cry lol
also i made him watch Upstream Color last night. it's still a GOAT for me but his takeaway was basically "why would they intentionally try to make it impossible to follow or give a shit?"

![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H7EBbP4FpeI/VOCcRRCV9mI/AAAAAAAAD5s/zLT3HGh0Ue8/s1600/plein_soleil.jpg) this is pretty good. alain delon is terrific, and no surprise to read later that this was his breakthrough role.

Has anyone here seen Delicatessen ? I thought Amelie sucked but I've heard good things about this one and it's leaving Criterion on 4/30.

I watched movies last weekend! ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8b/BlowtheManDown.jpg) ![]() ![]() My bf is from Maine and I guess he was hearing a lot about this one from friends back home. Love to see a mostly-female ensemble and the plot was just surprising enough to keep my interest. ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/55/Fantstic-planet-poster.jpg) This shit was wild! How have I not seen it before? So delightful. Love the 70s vaguely Python-esque? animation and the soundtrack is dope. Would watch again and again. Edibles are good. ![]() ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ad/Crimson_Peak_theatrical_poster.jpg) I like del Toro but this movie was very goofy! The idea that the comfortably middle class protagonist would be totally fine moving into a creepy ass mansion with no roof and red clay seeping through the walls required me to suspend a whole lot of disbelief! That said even though it was not that scary I am proud that I finished it as I don't like scary movies AT ALL.
