Going to the Dolby on Thursday. Really excited.
Rewatched the original on Thursday for the first time since I was a kid. The flight scenes have aged like wine imo. Lot of the rest of it has aged like milk but overall it's aight.
Was reading that TC put the whole cast through a flight program for this one. I guess he was the only actor who wasn't puking in the cockpits last time out so a lot of the footage they got was unusable. Wonder if I'm setting my expectations too high but I would guess the action scenes are just going to be insane.

The Bob’s Burgers movie is really fun. Basically a long episode of the show but it works really well

We watched that Eurovision Fire Saga movie the other night. It was kind of predictable, but I enjoyed it.
Then I showed my wife Zoolander last night. 1/3 of the way through, the streaming went down, and after unsuccessful troubleshooting, we finished it on DVD. The humor still holds up.

Hadn't seen the original in a long long time and I rewatched it this past weekend and I will say it got me really really amped up to go to see the new one. It holds up. |

will second everyone and say Top Gun Maverick is great. I think you could skip the first one if you are strapped for time but why not just watch it.
My other recommendation would be see it in a premium format if possible. I was thinking of seeing it in Dolby but ultimately settled on 4DX @ City North which was fucking sick. Like being on a flight simulator

Like being on a flight simulator were the vibrations like, comically intense for this? i saw top gun in ~dolby cinema~ at river east and there was a very tasteful level of occasional modest seat vibration. that was a stark contrast from my experience seeing the batman at city north in 4DX, which felt like someone trying to recreate the experience of being on one of the more concussive roller coasters at six flags i’ve spent a lot of time wondering if that is the intended effect or if an apathetic teen cranked the settings way past the factory calibrations. either way, fully agreed that it is fucking sick |

 We saw this yesterday. A local TV movie critic said it was "one of the best of 2022" so far. It wasn't. Not terrible, but not great, either. |

Crimes of the Future was pretty good! I thought it was going to be very slow moving and impenetrable based on what I had read, but it kept me interested.
Kristen Stewart's character talked and acted like some kind of android.
