i liked foxcatcher more than most, but it appearing on a list of the best films of the 21st century is pretty toasty.

40 Year Old Virgin? Really? I'm not gonna pretend that I have the best taste in movies but surely they could have found a better comedy to tag onto the end of their list.

Wendy and Lucy and Inside Llewyn Davis are both great movies. without context, the grammar in this sentence scares me. with context, i pictured that Scarlett Johansson Lucy movie from a few years ago and the grammarfear still came back.

Llewyn is definitely a top 25 movie for this list.
Never seen Wendy & Lucy.

I think the New York Times just released what could be the worst list for "top 25 films of the past century" My therapist actually brought this up. I think #1 and #2 are pretty solid FWIW. I don't think Spirited Away is remotely the best anime film of the 21st century but it's still iconic and incredible, plus I'm just happy to see the recognition of the one true artform.

Leviathan is probably in my own top 5 or even top 3 (along with Incendies, Amores Perros, and right next to the Lives of Others)... everyone should see it, really

As a younger teenager I was super into Judd Apatow movies and other dumb films of a similar vein. Years later now, I cannot fathom the idea of any of his films even remotely making a list like this. What's worse than the normal NYT list was the one where one of their critics responded making his own "American-ized" version. Also in general I'm not really into "of the century" lists. To me it's far easier to do it by decade (and more logical).

I watched Moonlight over the weekend. Interesting film. I like how progressive of an idea it has, and the acting was solid. I didn't find the overall story arc that intriguing, but I did like the pacing of it and how it was broken down into three sections. Naomi Harris was great.

Lord and Miller have dropped out of Han Solo, citing creative differences.
EDIT: Apparently Ron Howard is the favorite to take over.

Enjoyed Wonder Woman more than I expected to, but I still prefer the more grounded finales (Dark Knight, for example) instead of a bunch of flying-around and super over-the-top tomfoolery .
