they're a band. here's a video of them at p4k one year. im pretty sure there's technically 3 real members, but they used to have a couple more people live.

I'm not dropping $150 on a fest ticket just to see them support an album I hated. If it weren't a fest show, I'd probably be there.

set was shorter than most on the tour it seems. it's really a shame that NYC got gipped by them playing a fest instead of a venue

Barring insanely overpriced tickets or getting blocked by an instant sellout I will be there. I’ve been waiting quite a while to catch another YYY show, skipped the last album cycle since I wasn’t so taken with that album. This set’ll probably be all the classics though.

If you are looking to go see the National tonight at Forest Hills for cheap, go to the Flash Seats and bid on some of the numerous listings, I just bid $40 for a floor ticket and it was accepted within minutes. In hindsight I should have placed even lower bids.
EDIT: I am very glad I didn't buy a floor ticket in the on sale. I remember it being ~$100 after fees
