Fountain Square Festival
Demographic and shit: This is an upgrade to the existing FSMF. Date is changed to allow access to a nearby parking lot, which will host the main stage. Side stage is at the current main stage location on Virginia Ave. The Hi-Fi is used as a third stage/bleep bloop center. Other restaurants, bars, venues on Virginia Ave. that previously hosted stages will remain open for the festival and be used in place of food/beverage trucks as well as art installations, beer tasting, etc. Most important change is that VIP tickets now include beer. Booking an *original* lineup of Margot and not offering single day passes pretty much guarantees this thing will sell out.

Again, following the rules of previous Lollaboards:
1) How realistic is this lineup (not just lineup but cost, location, etc)? If a fest has Radiohead billed 10th, probably not very realistic.
2) Does the lineup cater to the desired demo/genre? Or, does this takeover do the current festival proud?
3) Does said lineup get you to the festival?
4) How's the schedule? Is it a conflict nightmare or does it cater to various sounds in an ideal way?

Overall I think Fountain is better but Moon Valley's top line electronic acts are more interesting to me than Fountain's, and that's a big draw.
Basically I'm just bummed Fatboy Slim got that slot in 2018 re: Fountain

Voted for Moon Valley. Not completely up my alley but there's more per day that I'm into. St. Vincent > Neil Young would be boss.

Also lets be honest Porcupine Tree played Coachella in 2010 in the afternoon on the second stage... they ain't no Depeche Mode equivalent headliner, like, at all.

I prefer the Fountain lineup, too, but the schedule is weird. Still voted for it based on the more unique bookings. This was a tough one for me.

i wanted to vote for fountain square because all of the bands are better but moon valley seems more sensibly done and looks like a lot of time was put into it which is admirable. obviously, if i could see 30 bands that all charge at least $40 for their shows in chicago at a festival for only $95 for two days, it would be great, but yeah.

Moon Valley probably did the best job of any of these festivals at just making a list of boring bands that everyone likes but actually having a modicum of realisticness to it so it has that.

These are both good, but gotta throw a vote to Fountain Square. That's a great two-day, urban fest.
