i pretty much exclusively wear polos in the summer cause button ups and flannel and whatnot are miserable in this humidity. especially now that i got a bunch of new shwoopy breezy polos that dont really need to be ironed every week.
also for socks im definitely wearing bret hart on one foot and stone cold steve austin on the other today

I'm also a big fan of popovers and henleys, though those are more appropriate for summer (especially the popover). popover henley (Just examples here, but Buck Mason shirts are awesome.)

I'm going to try to be more fancy for the November trip to NYC. I need to pick up some stuff to make that happen. I do not enjoy shopping, though. I tend to be way too indecisive and just wander around in circles. This, exactly! I love shopping because it clears my head, and I go in wanting to buy things....I just never convince myself I like anything enough, or chicken out on everything I like. Hence me basically asking on the lollaboard "what clothes should i buy"

My holdover skill from retail is being able to size someone for a sport jacket by looking at them. It’s a good ass time

For a grown-up, nice and not cheap suit, Brooks Brothers is good, right? I need to go somewhere to get properly sized - I think I'm between two sizes, so it's been a bitch to do it on my own.

really not a fan of polos.
if you wear tshirts that are solids or patterned and not graphic tees you won't look sloppy.

I like Brooks Brothers. I haven't gotten a suit there, but I really like the fit of the shirts. They're also pretty helpful when it comes to sizes.

Very grateful for the zero dress code here. I usually wear a button up, but no t-shirt of mine would cause anyone to bat an eye.

really not a fan of polos. if you wear tshirts that are solids or patterned and not graphic tees you won't look sloppy. for me its less about the look of a polo and more about practicality; a lot of times I've gotta at least wear a collared shirt to work and there's only so many acceptable short sleeved button downs

Suitsupply or totally custom (cause tall and lanky. I use Zeglio.) are my go-to for suits.
There's a Suitsupply in Denver.

Accidental italics! I used some [] within my () and I have no idea what happened.
[Does anything I put in here get italicized?]
I have no idea what's going on.

I'll preface it by saying I would love recommendations on where you've bought ones you like, but I find the places I've shopped at most either have one or zero "normal patterns" of short sleeved button down, and the rest are all very vacationy. I have several that look like that, too, (one with pineapples, one with birds, etc.) but idk I guess I just see those as slightly less "business-like" attire - which could be completely just me, people wear batshit crazy ties all the time just for the hell of it.

I'll say that every season I manage to find two or three things at Gap that I love and that tons of people compliment when I'm wearing. They're always surprised to find out its from Gap. I love shopping there because hardly anyone else does because it seems like everyone thinks its lame.
