Haven’t seen N&N. There was a time when High Fidelity was one of my favorite movies, but it hasn’t held up so well as it has aged (maybe it has to do with my aging, too). I basically still like it though. The end credits ftw.

I think I actually like N&N more because High Fidelity is such a trash heap of a movie. I was actually angry while I was watching High Fidelity in theaters.

I watched Nick and Norah for the first time a few weeks ago on a plane and it's not a great movie at all.
High Fidelity I enjoyed a lot more

I don't know if I'd like Empire Records if I saw it for the first time now. I watched it again a few years back and it held up, but that could be nostalgia talking...we need one of the younger folks on the board who haven't seen it to give it a try and chime in. Worth noting that critics bashed the film when it came out. |
