I only recently saw it. T'was great. It's kind of annoying watching a movie after hearing all of the lines repeated constantly for most of your life, though.

Also fairly confident that Almost Famous doesn't hold up all that well. Watching William's story from the perspective of a teenager makes that movie feel larger than life sometimes - it was easy to get wrapped up in, in high school Just recently watched it again and didn't enjoy it as much with the adult perspective. Still a good story, but once you've seen it, it doesn't have a ton of replay value. |

Also I'd recommend the director's cut of Almost Famous, it holds up a lot better (and the storyline makes more sense)

I had only seen the director's cut for years, not realizing there was another cut. PSH is great in this movie but damn Frances McDormand does the "disappointed parent" super well

I agree that I probably wouldn't like Almost Famous as much as I once did but I still often think about the kid getting mad at himself for writing "his fingers fly like airplanes" when I'm struggling to write expressively
