“Donuts” is 15 today and it’s still incredible. Happy birthday, Dilla.

Believe it or not I didn't start listening to Dilla until a few months ago. I now listen to Donuts probably 4-5xs a week now. Absolute best to tune in and out of while I'm working.

Probably the most I've ever been attached to an album cycle in my life. Still think it's a masterpiece front to back

Probably the most I've ever been attached to an album cycle in my life. Still think it's a masterpiece front to back Saaaame - obsessively following his updates was so ridiculous and fun, only thing that compares is watching Frank build a staircase lmao And yea, I was pretty critical of the uneven moments on the album the year it came out. But now those parts (aside from, maybe, Low Lights) seem indispensable. It's a perfectly messy album, and ranks in his top tier, IMO. Also one of the GOAT road trip albums. Emma and I always throw it on anytime we drive 4+ hours somewhere.

I know that's everyone's least favorite Radiohead record, but I love those fuckin Basement Sessions. So good.

I was a senior in high school. I remember being in school in the morning and I got tweets through text messages since I didn't have a smart phone. Saw that the album dropped during first hour (we never called them periods) and was sooo sad I had to wait until I got home to listen. I was really into Radiohead at the time and it was the first album they came out with while I was a fan. I loved Lotus Flower when it came out. I still think it's great and that Bloom is probably their best opener except for EIIRP. Other than that the album is fine. The two I mentioned absolutely slap live and I'd throw in Feral as well. Kinda insane we've gotten two albums in 10 years now.

I still like it. Mostly for Lotus Flower and Give Up the Ghost, and the b-sides to it were some of my favorites - like Daily Mail.
