I've never listened to Swans and just decided to keep that the case once all that happened. More or less my take

Robin Peckhold is teasing the next Fleet Foxes album. Looks like it's called "Shore." No other details right now except an image that some think is the album cover.

I also have a Swans shirt that I rarely wear now. The whole situation makes me feel icky.

My weird Fleet Foxes take: I never really cared about them, but Crack Up fucking DESTROYED me. Color me excited for another (hopefully similar) LP.

I've always been a fan, but didn't really miss them while they were on hiatus. Crack-Up was excellent. Hoping they continue to expand their sound.

I just did some digging, and it looks like all three parties (Michael Gira, Larkin Grimm, and Michael Gira's wife) deleted every post they made about this, so all that remains is the reporting (from Pitchfork and the like.) Speculation is that lawyers got involved, and the matter was settled out-of-court, and the posts were deleted as a part of that settlement. CW: discussing the accusation below: Even assuming that Larkin is lying (which I am not), and even assuming that Gira is telling the truth when he says the physical encounter "was not consummated" (gross) and that he did not rape her, his statement completely fails to take responsibility for the WILD imbalance of power between a label-owner, producer, and icon and his much less famous accuser who was working with him at the time. And that's *assuming* the very best of his statement is 100% true (which I very highly doubt.) I also recall some pretty gross posts from Gira's wife attempting to discredit Larkin, but can't immediately find them. When this news came out back in early '16, I took my signed Swans poster off the wall. It's staying that way. So this lead me to looking at every article I could find about this new album announcement and of the major online publications to cover it, only Paste made reference to the accusations. Not even COS did and they love to stir the pot.

Chain Gang of 1974 put out a new ep today. Second track is very MBV-influenced, it's the same as their other stuff otherwise

Interesting how this barely sounds like Green Day. Need a few more spins to gauge how I feel about it.
