News that should be a surprise to no one:
Taking Back Sunday announced a second leg of their big 20th Anniversary tour, which has them in Kansas City on 9/13 and then off until 9/19 in Norfolk, GA. Since that tour has them playing two nights in each market, I'm guessing they either play two nights at Riot Fest doing different album(s) each night or just play the fest one night and do an after-show the other night.

Headline seems like a stretch. in redditworld i believe this translates to closing any stage on a given night so closing a side stage during Rise Against or whatever which sounds about right |

Ehhhhhh a "legendary" band reuniting can translate to a headline bump at Riot Fest, see also Jawbreaker. If RF gets BK as an exclusive, they'd put them up top.

I think wretched's point about them closing one of the less main stages makes sense. Maybe where Jesus Lizard were last year, or Sleater-Kinney whenever that was?

If RF gets BK as an exclusive, they'd put them up top. this is somewhat true but i'd argue the Replacements, Misfits, and Jawbreaker all outdraw Bikini Kill a bit having them billed somewhere closer to Samhain, Faith No More and Sleater Kinney seems to make more sense to me but i honestly don't know BK very well so maybe im underselling them i just think having them close a stage against a Blink/Rise Against kinda band or subbing for a Strokes/Nat'l kinda band will do better for selling tickets and keeping people in the park until closerather than having BK headline a main stage, perhaps unopposed like other reunion headliners |

I think they would be given a headlining spot but I genuinely believe the crowd would be sparser than Jawbreaker.

Worth noting that none of Stray Cats, Ben Folds, or Violent Femmes ended up on the Ravinia lineup after all (they had previously announced tours skipping Chicago).
