I could see how it could interfere with the flow of the live set, but I think that the song is beautiful, so it won't bother me. Plus, easier to drink my beer when I am not dancing my fool head off.

Is that why people like it? Do you need mid-show naps? did you see beck at p4k?

They've been playing American Dream right before the final two songs. It's a nice break to hear a great song, and it sounds great live. Not every song needs to be a dance number, there's plenty of that in the 2 hour set. Being a breather is not a bad thing.

And now here comes the Morning Phase hate. sigh My opinion of Morning Phase has dropped since it came out because I've come to admit it's pretty boring, but even then Beck puts on an incredible live show, those songs included. Can't imagine being bored at a Beck show.

Someone Great is a good breather.

Can't imagine being bored at a Beck show. There were 3(?) MP songs towards the end of the regular set, leading up to an awesome finish (Girl, e-Pro, Sexx Laws, Debra, Where It's At) . And it was his newest album, so it was fine. It would be an odd choice if he continued to pull so heavily from MP.

Yeah "Lost Cause" is one of my favorite Beck songs for sure. I enjoy some sad Beck, although I can understand why people prefer the upbeat stuff live.

I also listened to the album at lunch and it was a lot of fun. I did fall asleep in the middle somewhere, but that's not its fault.

weeb shit time
My fav J-pop song of the year. Shout out to Greg Nasty for turning me onto these girls. Aina the End is basically my favorite idol rn (it takes a very special idol/idol group to hold my interest).
Also just been kinda bumping this from last year lately. (for those unaware, this isn't idol music)

Obsessed would be a bit strong, but I'm endlessly fascinated by the song off the new Royal Blood album that sounds like a cross between Arctic Monkeys and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
