The Board Dot's Top 200 Releases of the 2000s (Results)

Here it is folks. Our collaborative efforts are about to pay off with the top 200 releases of the 2000s, meaning from 2000 - 2009. We collectively voted for 591 albums over 22 lists. These all ranged from electronica, folk, metal, indie rock, mainstream rock, shoegaze, post-punk, lepre-folk, trip-hop, transatlantic cephalopodal beat poetry, and whatever the hell you think Animal Collective is.



The laborious task of tabulating was done solely by me, so if there are any complaints - there always is - feel free to inbox me. If you think my math is off, inbox me. If you think that the voting machines used for this are outdated, join the club. Needless to say, the top 10 or so seemed pretty much a given right from the get-go. Nothing surprising about that top 20 at all. Kinda sorta played out exactly how I thought it would but that still seems about right.

Regine is still in Arcade Fire which makes them the highest ranked female in a band.
