hey! you may or may not remember me (probably not). i lurked on the old board for a while before joining, and now i've lurked here a bit before deciding to join again for any instances where i may have an opinion or recommendation. i live in toronto and try to get out to as many shows as i can. i think the only boarders here that i've actually met are Wretched (Shaky Knees 2015) and UA (Lolla 2013?). i don't know how often any of you make it north of the border, but anytime you're in toronto, let me know. Lurked on the Lollaboard for a few years, mostly for news shows. Favorite artists these days are Big Thief, Diet Cig, Chance. Loving the new Shame record. Favorite band all time (after The The Beatles) is probably Wilco. Hi y’all!

Hey, I met a small chunk of the board over the weekend in Cincy, but I guess since I may be posting semi-regularly I should introduce myself a little more. I was a long time lurker on the old boards, mostly to keep up with tour and fest announcements. I go to most shows and fests alone now, cuz my friends are either too busy or too washed to even keep up on new music, let alone go out that much. I'm mostly pretty cool with it, but having people to hang with if we happen to be at the same event is also not bad. Not sure how active I'll be on the board, but having met some people irl helps me with that.
I've lived in Michigan all my life and I'm currently living in Ann Arbor, though not fully by choice. I went to Eastern, so I have no dog in the fight between U-M and MSU for anyone who cares about that. I also have friends all around the state for whenever I plan on going a little too hard at an event to drive home, including my sister who lives in Grand Rapids.
I've always loved music, but didn't really start going to a lot of shows until about 5 years ago and then even more in the last 18 months or so. I've been to Pitchfork every every year since 2010 (except '12 when I was unemployed and massively depressed) and have a ticket again this year. As of now that's my only planned Chicago trip. I did Lolla in '08 and '14 (the latter for free), and don't really enjoy it and also Riot in '15 and on Sunday last year for Jawbreaker.
My fest plans for the rest of the year are Primavera in about 4 weeks (my first international flight in over 10 years and first solo international flight), the aforementioned Pitchfork, as well as Mo Pop the following weekend. I also may go to Outside Lands because a) my other vacation ended up being that week b) I've never been to the bay and c) I like the lineup, even if it's not overly exciting.
My other interests include soccer (THFC), podcasts, comedy, MMA, pro wrestling (my best friend and I just went to Nola for Mania) and movies/TV
