So far I've listened to the Serengeti and Krallice EPs and both were very good. The 'geti EP is a bit goofy at times, but there's some really catchy shit on there.

Lorelle Meets the Obsolete - De Facto
This is a very good album that won't make anybody's top 25 by the end of the year

Pigs' Best Albums of 2019:
Angelo De Augustine - Tomb I've liked this one a decent amount. It's on Asthmatic Kitty and sounds like it should be, but there are some really catchy moments in there.

It took three (3) listens for me to not think it was as boring as I initially thought. Still not life-changing, but I think it's a very solid effort.

Ireally like a few of the songs on that album and was surprised by the tepid response

Maybe I should treat this like the movie list and then I'll actually have a year end list to share.

1. Tallies - s/t Maybe I should treat this like the movie list and then I'll actually have a year end list to share. i tried doing a running aoty list one time and it kind of ruined the experience for me bc all year i would try to be ranking albums that sound nothing alike against each other and coming up with likes and dislikes that ultimately served no useful purpose. i wouldn't recommend it. just throwing something together at the end of the year after i've already had the listening experience with each album seemed better.

True. It might be good for me to at least keep a running list of albums so I can remember what I listened to, but you're right it's probably not a good idea to rank them right off the bat.

I'm going to continue my trend of aiming for 15-20 favorites per month, and then a quarterly list.

I kept mine in the order that I listened to them and then did rankings at the end of the year, which is probably what I should do here again. It made the experience enjoyable

I don't think I've ever listened to Greensky Bluegrass on record, just saw them before Phil Lesh last summer. It was a lot of fun, they had one of the guys from Moe. come out and jam with them and then another guy who I couldn't identify came out and jammed with them and an old deadhead offered me a joint that came out of his extremely sweaty crotch on the hottest day of the year, at a fest where you don't have to hide your drugs (I declined because yuck).
