i dont have a list anymore (i'll try to come up with something i guess) but does anyone else read/follow they shoot pictures, don't they? best movie list, the guy aggregates critics and lists from around the world. the main list is the 1000 best films of all time but they also have 1000 best of the 21st century and best film noir lists. they also have director profile pages with the guy who runs the site grouping the director's films into tiers of recommended viewing in case you have heard of a director but aren't sure where to start (or where to go next). great site. www.theyshootpictures.comthe 1000 best films list should be updated in january and 21st century in february i think, he updates them yearly.

my list would be pretty different than when we did the project. Favorites include:
The Apartment Nashville A Separation Texas Chainsaw Massacre Do the Right Thing There Will Be Blood Blue Velvet Shoeshine Scenes from a Marriage City Lights This is Spinal Tap Last Detail Night of the Living Dead Wild Strawberries McCabe & Mrs Miller
Altman is my favorite filmmaker
Also this probably doesn't really count but seeing The Clock was one of my favorite moving-picture experiences ever

to clarify: I didn't watch the whole thing. Went on two occasions, during the afternoon and right before midnight, for about an hour and a half each

My favorite movie it The Philadelphia Story. Other faves, in no particular order: The Player Genuinely curious to hear from someone who really loves The Player - what do you think makes it great? I saw it recently and couldn't decide how I really felt about it. I wanted to like it, but was having a hard time...yet when it was over, I realized it still had replay value? IDK I probably just need to see it again.

Tim Robbins does a great job. Also, when it was released in 1992, mrs ten15 and I were movie junkies, so that played into how much we like it. I think we saw it in the theater like 5 or 6 times. If a friend of ours hadn't seen it, we would use that as an excuse to go see it with them. Fun movie.

yeah, a lot of these are like films you've seen once and just left an impact on you that you still feel years later. often times i don't want to see those films again and ruin it.
