Nah Pride has deep pockets. They've booked Jennifer Hudson and other big names in the past.

I remember they booked Neon Trees as well when Neon Trees were still a popular act.

There was a ton of controversy and a bunch of LGBTQ artists dropped off the bill when she performed at NYC pride so its p hilarious that they are doing it again in chicago

That's not the Pride thing downtown with like $60 tickets right? No that's the regular Pride fest on Belmont. The ticketed one is being announced next week.

at least 5 acts I'd want to see at millennium park after work -- car seat, Lydia, brent cobb, flora cash, baxter. If I hadn't seen los amigos at the second lolla Chicago that they played, they'd be number one on the list.

From timbo's post in the upcoming shows thread, Hop Along will be Saturday of Logan Square Arts Fest (June 29th). Just checked The Beths page, they are on Sunday. The mookie family (including Wilco) will most likely be there Sunday.

I’d go to some of that if it was a Pridefest lineup, but I’m not paying $60 for that.

It's not far off from a Market Days lineup really. Taylor Dayne plays that like every year.

Really puzzling that the fireworks display is sponsored by Salesforce. They couldn't spring for sponsoring the whole thing or even a stage, but just the fireworks? That's all the budget would allow?

That's all the budget would allow? my dad used to work for them and i can assure you they spend the entirety of their fun budget on booking RHCP, Metallica, or Green Day on rotation to play private corporate events in hotels in San Diego every year
