We ordered Kabobi last night for dinner, strategically knowing it would provide leftovers for at least two more meals. Looking forward to jujeh and koubideh for lunch!

We bought chicken, two cases of beer, some sauce for said chicken, and we made a Costco trip Sunday before we got absolutely slammed with snow Monday morning where we picked up some essentials like TP and paper towels and cat litter, plus some standards like the lentils and quinoa that I eat with some frequency.
Also flavor blasted goldfish and lunchables.

My girlfriend is making pancakes and bacon right now. We've got chicken sandwiches and some steaks and pork chops that I can do stovetop stuff with and a bunch of fruit and vegetables. Did a big shop Saturday so I'm good.
Also my work just cancelled all of Thursday too which is really gonna mess up a lot of things in my office

Ashley wants to know what everybody’s emergency food purchases were? It's not going to be nearly as cold here, but I still didn't want to make my semi-daily walk to the grocery store with temps in the teens today and tomorrow. So last night I picked up 8 cans of assorted beans, 4 cans of Ro-Tel tomatoes, can of diced tomatoes, a couple of onions, rosemary, some crackers, an overpriced pint of Ample Hills ice cream, pickles, caesar salad kits, cilantro and lacinato kale. Menus over the next few days include two-bean chili and Tuscan white bean soup.

Reports coming in they are literally lighting the metra tracks on fire to keep the trains moving

They were doing that on the Amtrak when we went to Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago. Pretty wild to see.

We ordered Kabobi last night for dinner, strategically knowing it would provide leftovers for at least two more meals. Looking forward to jujeh and koubideh for lunch! I want to know more about this. My only winter storm purchase was some cottage cheese (large curd). I'm trying to get through some of the soups, stews and chili I have in the freezer. I just reheated garlic bread in the air fryer tho AMA

I love the idea of using the air fryer for everything. Warm up your socks, too.

Kabobi gives you a free large baba or hummus with an order of $20 or more. Portion sizes are huge, so it lasts for a while.

staying home from the office today due to the polar vortex is disappointing, although it is likely I would not be getting anything more done by being downtown.

She's normally an every morning first walk kind of dog. At what point do I get worried? She's still eating, she's gotta go. At this point I don't care if she goes in the house.
