i've been keeping my thermostat relatively low and using a space heater in my home office. and the space heater knob just broke as i was adjusting temperature.

I don’t think I could have handled a second day sitting around at home so I’m pretty happy to be at work now. However it was -20 when I left which was a real bummer after seeing that the low was -7

I just got back from walking Arya, it's still damn cold but noticeably warmer than last night. It took a good five minutes before my face started to hurt.

So I had to "work" the two polar vortex days (at home) despite the office being closed and I just found out my whole team will get two extra vacation days for it 😅

Our two days were considered "holidays", and the 2.5 hours I clocked in for on Thursday are going to be OT. The best part of the whole thing is that now I'm set up to work remotely every once in a while.
