So this is the opposite of purchasing vinyl but where is the best place to trade in or sell unwanted vinyl? Reckless? Somewhere else? I'm doing a bit or recurating of my collection and have some titles I'd like to move out.

if you dont want to deal with selling it online, i'd just go to a record store you like to shop at to trade it in. i think most will give you a higher amount of store credit than cash, so you can just use it to get more stuff in the future if you're not necessarily needing cash.

Vinyl Me Please is pressing an extremely limited run of Fiona Apple's "When the Pawn..." which will drop next week.
Their release of "Tidal" will see a repress as well.

Ahh gotcha - The article was just a retrospective writeup with no announcement whatsoever, and then a tweet followed with pressing info. Maybe they just jumped the gun on the announcement? It would be off-brand for VMP to do a huge writeup like that and not have it correlate to a release. |

If y'all haven't had a chance to get to Tone Deaf Records in Jefferson Park yet, it's a nicely curated little shop. I haven't bought records in a really long time but picked up the new Mikal Cronin and a live CSNY Japanese pressing something or another.

i picked up the new fka twigs lp, the artwork on the physical edition is sooooo sick. i also got a chicago-specific variant of jens lekman's night falls over kortedala that is i guess available at reckless during the secretly distribution chicago residency.   |

for anyone who pre-ordered the 3 LP's for the Watchmen soundtrack by Trent and Atticus,
a few lucky folks were given a mystery second package which ended up being signed copies of the new pressing of With_Teeth. which has never been properly printed or distributed before so that's a pretty wild thing for NIN fans.
hopefully means it'll be getting a proper distribution before xmas.

My turntable is spinning about 2 rotations too fast and it's pissing me off for mine you can adjust that with a screwdriver. there's a slot for both 33 and 45 rpm on the bottom of the turntable. it's SUPER sensitive tho so i'd recommend downloading the RPM gyroscope app on your phone to re-measure the spin every time you adjust it |
