This is a place holder. It sounds like they needed something for the uniforms etc while they finalize whatever the new permanent name will be.

Yeah I mean it makes sense. Rebranding takes a long time, and nobody really knew what to call them. At least now they can do a temporary placeholder rebrand for this season and get a new mascot, name, logo, uniforms etc. for next season.
