man thats really disappointing. They really did hype this fest up. There's some good stuff here and there but, compared to last year, this is a huge downgrade. |

Red Fang headlining any fest, that then also has Call of the Void and Planes Mistaken for Stars is automatically A+
(also really enjoy Benjamin Booker)

I'm honestly not too familiar with either. I've heard of both, but never really had any incentive to listen to them before now. They'll be announcing other headliners, too. Also just noticed Nothing down there, too.
Re: Red Fang and Benjamin Booker. Will check out the others as well.

Booker is just a great blues rawker. really fun to watch. kinda like maybe what Gary Clark Jr was before he got Q101'd.
Red Fang is probably one of the most fun stoner rock/metal bands you can ever watch. very anthemic choruses and awesome hooks. top 5 or 10 tracks on Spotify will give you a real good idea.
Wyoming and I were big into the Planes Mistaken for Stars album last year. kinda post rock/metal experimental stuff mixed with solid riffs.
Call of the Void is pretty abrasive on the grind and punk side but they're great live.

It's so much better than what they've offered in previous years. I heard the organizers received a ton of criticism for not having much metal or loud rock on the lineup last year, so it looks like they went out of their way to address that.
