In a bizarre string of events, I will now be going to Open Air on..........Saturday. I can see ATCQ at Outside Lands, my buddy really wants to see Korn (other than that, he is a perfectly fine human being), and his wife and Mrs.ten15 will be spending the day together. Got the $20 tickets, so....yay?
Actually, looking forward to seeing Pig Destroyer, Steel Panther (shut up) and Body Count.

oh dear 1015. yeah i'm doing Open Air sunday for sure. Saturday will be likely be all p4k but AB and i are trying to do OA that morning for aforementioned bands. that drive back will suck tho.
Friday is a win/win for me regardless of which i go to but AB is my keeper for the weekend so i leave that to him and i won't complain.
and zirc, i didnt see them last year but Greg said it was a surprisingly great set of nothing but hits (so yes)

I haven't seen Korn in over 10 years but I never had a bad time at a Korn set. If I'm honest.
But you couldn't pay me enough to choose Korn over Polly Jean.

right now I have no tickets for open air, pitchfork, or smokeout, although I entered a contest to win a 3 day pass to open air at a booth that was set up at ribfest this last weekend. my ideal plan would be to do pitchfork on friday to finally see lcd, open air on saturday to see ice t and metal church, and smokeout on sunday for sunny sweeney, brandi clark, and lee brice, but I may just end up at one of the three.
edit: because pj harvey, atcq, geo clinton, and the feelies have all been in the trapper keeper for a very long time, I don't care in the least about pitchfork saturday.

I know this is not the popular opinion around here, but I am completely neutral toward PJ. Saw her at Metro way back in the day ( Rid of Me tour) and she was really good. But her style has changed since then and I just don't listen to her any more. *shrug* |

Mostly that they're predicting thunderstorms for Friday night up there. We also didn't feel prepared since we just got back from Vegas, and Ashley has a big work thing on Monday. Just not great timing.
I imagine we'll be more serious about going ahead of time next year since the National will likely be more involved and maybe headline.

I forget where it was posted, but apparently the 3D glasses at FYF are for FlyLo: FLYING LOTUS + 3-D GLASSES = INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE Passes for FYF are being mailed out in just over a week and inside the package you'll find a pair of these glasses. Wear them during his set to experience the unknown.  |
