That was very nice. I didn't listen to Skeleton Tree much after watching the doc and was going to make a playlist but maybe I won't and just be pleasantly surprised.

I'm trying to binge watch The Leftovers but I've only watched 5 episodes this month. Each one is just so devastating. Just finished "Gladys"

I get myself to the gym by only watching Mad Men there, and I forgot just how good as a whole season 5 is. I just re-watched The Other Woman, and damn.
That said, I'm excited to get through what I already watched, and finally start season 6.

I've never watched any MST3K.
i finally put on The Return season on netflix last night. first 2 episodes were hysterical.
i'm sorry i'm late, society.

that's pretty surprising. you should go watch some old ones.
i havent watched mst3k since i was in high school when we watched like all of them that our video store had. i'll have to check out the new series, though part of me wonders if i'd still find it funny.

i can't speak for the original series but this new season is fucking funny.

i realized once i started getting into movies that cinephiles consider mst3k blasphemy, and that you should be able to enjoy the badness of bad movies without people talking over them and pointing out why its funny. which i sort of agree with, but also i used to laugh my ass off at those mst3k episodes!

ah man i dunno. i love bad movies but these ones wouldn't even be survivable without the commentary.
related, last weekend we went to the interactive version of Rocky Horror at the Music Box. as much as i love that movie, adding the props and shoutouts was even better.

There's definitely a line for me. Being in a crowd all enjoying how terrible something is definitely adds to the experience, but when you've got a routine calcified to the point where it is more the focus than the movie, that's not so much for me. On the other hand, MST3K, you know, workshops their jokes before they record them. Definitely an interesting point you raise though, avb.

OMGOMG
Paul Rudd as Cliff from Singles is amazing.
Also Marguerite Moreau should be in everything ever.

the Wet Hot trailer looks great. I was lukewarm on First Day of Camp but I'm probably still in for this.

Idk if any of you watch RuPaul's Drag Race (but you should, it is a great program) and I have watched this lipsync a number of times.

i had never until we were looking for dinner before an aragon show a few weeks ago and my friends were like "this sports bar seems fine" and at 7 pm they switched from the cubs game to RuPaul's and they started handing out free sangria.
needless to say it wasn't a sports bar and we had a great time.
Crew? pretty sure it was Crew.
