Arcade Fire played Black Mirror
tonight. Really liking them mixing it up more so far this year. Their setlists had been getting really stale. You pretty much knew on the last two tours what you were gonna get. Seems like they're taking a page out of the Radiohead 2016 book. |

irt CG on the previous page: Aside from the 13 Humanz songs, yes. Could always use a few more songs off the self-titled and, like, On Melancholy Hill. Would cut roughly have the Humanz songs for those, although if I could I'd cut them all lol. They aren't even playing the best song from the album so like w.e

Yeah I'm sure it's going to be a blast live but I'm honestly not bummed about striking out on tickets after spending significant time with the new album.

Kind of disappointed that Metallica hasn't switched up any of the Hardwired tracks after eight US shows. I thought they'd be mixing other stuff in by now after they did the same in Europe... Maybe by the time they make it here.

that's wild since, ostensibly, maynard hates that song (based on interviews from like 5 years ago so who knows)
it seems like that's the one slot that keeps changing so hopefully we get something besides Vicarious.

Seems like the setlists on this Tool tour are a little longer than previous tours, right?
Also, there's an opening act tonight, right? I assume Tool won't go on until around 9:30?

yeah, that maiden setlist is pretty good - i saw it last year in tulsa and am seeing it again in albuquerque in a few weeks. just 2 different songs from last time. since they're still touring the new album, it's heavy on it, and less classics.

Yeah that's kind of silly that 2mtm is out of the setlist for the 2nd run in a row. But this setlist kind of works in a way because by the time Powerslave kicks you're ready to start knocking people over.
I like Wasted Years as a closer better than Hallowed Be Thy Name and u can fite me if u disagree.
Tinley lawn seems like a bad place to see this show especially because the Eddie this time is just a geek on stilts in an Eddie costume instead of a mechanical one so it would be disappointing if you didn't get a good view but YMMV

Damon did that at Bonnaroo with De La Soul and it was one of the highlights of the set, it was super fun live |

isnt de la soul supposed to be one of the artists along for at least some of the us dates? if they're there, i'm sure they'll do it.
looks like they did it at several uk shows last month.

it's even weirder since they played it on Colbert (with Colbert as De La lol) and kinda established that the current lineup can play it.

Yeah, I'd say there's a good chance they play it, but who knows. Sadly the new songs are just so bad and they're mostly playing them that I can't justify paying to see them (and Damon is my #1 boy).
