Judah & The Lion - I first heard these guys from their Kacey collab which is one of the great moments of horseshit of the year. The song linked on the lineup page makes me "get it" a little better tho. It's basically if you just replaced the Sublime from 21 pilots w/ the lumineers. do with that what you will!
Sheck West - technically my favorite artist on the lineup but he is #cancelled.
Smino - Smino is the best and was by far the highlight of last years pitchfork and has continued to release great music and this board doesn't really talk about him enough

Fisher- Lolla really dropped the ball on linking videos to their lineup this year its been like a week stop making me open up a youtube tab. This is the losing it guy losing it is a good song i dono if i can full heartedly endorse it tho.
Lauren Diagle - Just absolutely garbage balladry without personality. Searched her on wikipedia because she's extremely high on hte lineup and a true zero and it turns out hse is one of the bigget artists in contemporary Christian music at the moment which is just lmaoooooo forever. Great work Lollapalooza! The algorithim works!
Rosalia - Damn I slept on this but its great. I wish she wasnt playing Lolla because I'd like to actually see her live. Actual visionary pop that uses its references as a strength vs. a crutch! First full hearted endorsement from the lineup.

Bring me the Horizon - look at all the sweet acts that open up now that warped tour is no longer around!
JID - was basically the only xxl freshman that i could full throatedly endorse. defeinitely post-kendrick influence. Seems like would be a good live show.

FKJ - the song that was linked on the website is really good but I guess its a collab and the guy is just kind of a smooth jazz Odessa but I guess there are worse crimes

Lil Skies- He headlined that Lyrical Lemonade fest last year and I had never heard of him but it seemed like a thing I wouldn't like. I was right. Extremely pedestrian pop rap without any of the interesting weirdness of his peers. Cool tats tho.

Deorro - Has the balls to make an official lyric video with the lyrics "the good inside me's a stranger/and im in love with my sins/theres no one left to save me/cause im wild like the wind" so therefore he deseves a medal congrats.
Manic Focus - I feel like I've had to listen to Manic Focus so many times because of this fucking festival. They have a drummer, that sure is something.

Rich The Kid - A not good rapper but has a good ear for beats and chevelle is on this lineup so you sort of have to take it where you can get it.
Saba - Obviously one of the best acts on the lineup and I would hope everyone would know that at this point.
Normani- I guess she is on the biggest song in the country at the moment, a song i vaguely remember from killing time at a CVS. I don't find the solo stuff all too convincing as her voice seems significanly poppier than the deeper electro-R&B music leading to a sort of generic middle ground but Chevelle is on this lineup so.

Hayley Kiyoko - I thought this was Hiatus Kayiyote who absolutely rule but I guess instead its geneticall modified target commercial music by one of the actors from insidious 3. Really shocked this festival is having trouble selling tickets.
Denzel Curry - I'm glad Denzel Curry is playing all of these festivals because he's certainly gonna have a shot to win over audiences starved of anything with any life

Lane 8 - How are there so many acts playing Perrys? cant like only a certain amount of acts play Perrys? Are sets 10 minutes long? This one is I guess less offensive than some of the other ones i guess.
Joji - The cloud rap beats can't help but sound like a throwback (to acts that lolla wouldn't book anyway) but again compared to everything else I woulld say this is a set to see at this dumb festival.

Sharon Von Etten - SVE is obv a top 5 act on the lineup this is such a welcome reprieve but obviously is cant last forever. Eventually we will have to move on to a white lady doing patois over a Odessza replica beat made only using pro tool samples
Francis and the Lights - His two good songs are two very good songs if you like Peter Gabriel and soundcloud hip hop, two things I enjoy.

Yaeji - Kind of strikes me as dance music you are not actually supposed to dance to so I have no idea how it will go over at Lollapalooza, a psyop where corporations get 90k kids to do enough drugs that they will pay $400 to get plur while hear the songs from Target commercials. But I dig it.
Idles- This is really good and I bet this board talks about them alot and I have just assumed they are bad because of who has been posting about them.

Sigrid - More pop signifiers but done a little "sloppier" so it seems down to earth. I can't wait for Bosma to tell me this is actually good. Just replace Lolla with like an Interactive Taco Bell experience and put us out of our misery.
Dean Lewis- The linked song sounds like an Austrailian guy trying to make a song for an episode for the Grey's Anatomy end credits while eating a Chipotle burrito so it's a good thing this festival booked him thats impressive.
Masego - I've seen his name alot but have never checked him out. I guess a little similar asthetic wise to FKJ but also a singer etc. Would be worth checking out if somehow you wake up at this festival or something. On the radar for the future

Hobo Johnson - Unfortunately 'Why? for the Fortnite era' might sound like a compliment but I don't want it to. Bad Suns - Kind of sounds like if current day Weezer were trying to write a Gaslight Anthem song and normally it would make me want to die but now im like an old man and I hear instruments and I'm like "wow the kids might be alright after all"
Omar Apollo - Hey this is pretty good! It's cool pop music that doesn't feel detached nor is it trying too hard. Just all around v cool. I'm on board, a legit discovery!
Tierra Whack - Her album is great and her set at P4k was really bad and thus is the dilemma of live hip hop. Compared to the rest of the lineup tho...Hey!

Alex Sandy G - I think he has written some of the best songs of the last decade like "Bobby" and "Harvey" and than alot of songs that just don't land for me but obviously this is going into the + column
Calpurnia - A good way to get on this lineup when you play guitars is not to write good songs but to be on a popular netflix show for teens.
