Lots of moves happening, pretty strong rumors that the Hawks are trying to move DeBrincat to try to get a first round pick. Rangers just traded Georgiev to the Avalanche for some picks. Another rumor said Fleury was going to stay another year in Minnesota, but that was immediately taken back. Should be an interesting day.

My light googling tells me the Hawks just drafted a player who committed to Michigan for 4 years snd I'm a lil lapsed in how this shit works but picks like that in non baseball sports are generally bad

Probably will be lots of free agent moves today. First up is Claude Giroux heading to Ottawa for 3 years.
Supposedly lots of teams are talking to Patrick Kane, but he says he wants to see how this season plays out before he moves. Guess he wants to see if the Hawks end up in last place or second to last place?

The Hawks did pick up Max Domi, who was a "might as well pick up this guy for my fantasy team for a bit" player for me for several years. Probably still won't help them much.
Other big trade is Brent Burns is heading to Carolina. The big bidding war right now is to decide where Johnny Gaudreau is going to end up, supposedly it's between NJ and the Islanders

If the only help he provides is he gets them closer to the cap floor then he has done his job. Best case scenario they flip him at the trade deadline for more draft picks. |
