are the tents at roo really big or am i right in assuming the brockhampton set is gonna be a mess I think their popularity level is probably pretty similar to Chance in 2014 which wasn't bad at all because they'll be up against a big edm act at 2 in the morning hours after the headliner.

But also stupidly overpacked tents are like a Bonnaroo tradition

I think their solution to the overcrowded tent problem was booking much smaller acts on Thursday when there's no What/Which and selling way less tix

I have never been in a tent that packed and the set was fucking awful but I feel like I've talked about this enough on here and if I remember you agree as well

I have never been in a tent that packed and the set was fucking awful but I feel like I've talked about this enough on here and if I remember you agree as well Frank was like in my top 3 that year, but I decided to see Nick Cave instead after seeing Frank was playing the small tent and that set was amazing so I don't regret it A couple of my friends did Frank though (including one thats a huge fan) and they all said the same as you

Trying to remember who here saw Frank and agreed with me. Like the whole board was at Nick Cave as well.

I split the sets. Nick Cave was better.

Yes. Though my biggest issue wasn't how packed it was it was that he didn't have a live band with him and the people singing in the crowd was louder than he was.

I'm struggling to think of a set that was as packed as that Frank set. NMH at P4K was surprisingly terrible, those were the pre-blanket years though.

There was a guy next to me at the Nick Cave set who I'm pretty sure thought Frank was playing that stage (there had been some last minute changes if IIRC) and pretty clearly hadn't heard Nick Cave before and like 10 minutes in I heard him say "fuck Frank I'm staying here"

I saw Frank Ocean in the way way back of the tent in 2014. It was an alright set.

Yeah...once Clusterfest became a thing, the Comedy Tent totally has been on the downhill.

Reggie Watts is good of course. Aparna Nancherla, Joel Kim Booster, and Jon Gabrus are all very funny people on podcasts and interviews but I haven't heard their standup material

Saturday is really the only day that would be decent for me Mavis> Chic > Sylvan Esso> Paak> Two Bon Iver sets would be a good time

i honestly think id have a fun time at this besides the Thursday. not enough to go obviously but its not scheduled bad which is something because bonnaroo usually loves to schedule its few good acts at the same time
that being said, the Thursday is the first day of any festival this large ive ever seen where theres not one single act I would want to see so that's pretty impressive

Everything Everything -> Japanese Breakfast -> Tyler Childers -> Trombone Shorty / Sheryl Crow -> Paramore -> T-Pain -> Sturgill is a great day until you run into the unavoidable supermassive black hole.

schedule confirms my suspicion that bonnaroo is actually lowkey good this year. aside from the headliners, friday and saturday are solid days.
westide gunn/conway->japanese breakfast->tyler childers->sheryl crow->denzel curry->tash sultana->t-pain->sturgill
knox fortune->midland->kali uchis/mavis->chic->sylvan esso->anderson .paak->bon iver (drink) more bon iver
pretty cool
