It seemed to me that people were having fun there, yeah. Also heard they were arresting a lot more people and whatnot. How was it? I'll write up a long review tonight. I didn't really hear anything about more people getting arrested though? I wasn't on the subreddit during the fest and haven't looked after though. I won a VIP ticket from WXRT so I didn't go through the normal lines to get searched, but my friends all said they barely got searched at all. I'm sure there are still some idiots who were smoking and wrote bonnaroo or bust or whatever on their cars and attracted the cops attention. Overall though the vibes felt just like when I was last there in 14/15. I'm not sure when this happened but apparently the official festival attire for women young and old is to show your ass as much as possible, definitely saw a butthole when some girl was falling over lmao. But the people were still very friendly, totally didn't get a Perry's vibe even the few sets I saw at Bonnaroo's EDM stage, everyone was polite even the people out of their mind. Weather was fantastic, no rain just very cold on thursday night like 48 after 2am. Livenation isn't doing the booking anymore, it's all back to AC Entertainment/Superfly, so I have a lot of hope for this thing in the future.

Ehhhhhhhhhh it would be great if she came out with a new album before Lolla booked her for literally her ninth public Chicago show in two years

Ehhhhhhhhhh it would be great if she came out with a new album before Lolla booked her for literally her ninth public Chicago show in two years Considering her Aragon shows were going for like half of what on a Lolla ticket costs on the secondary market, I’m more than fine with her taking one of the 8 headliner spots even without a new album.

It’s definitely smaller but when you consider that Vampire Weekend, a band that sold out MSG and Oysterhead, a reunion a lot of big fan bases would likely travel for, are very likely on the lineup right after those names, it seems a bit bigger.

Man I just tried to read all the recent activity in that inforoo thread but then someone called Primus a metal band and I had to nope right out of there before I created an account to rip on them

Bonnaroo does a really good job at trying to appeal back to its legacy vibe but with a clearly reduced budget. I can dig it.

That Sunday is fire and I based on billing maybe 1975 are subbing at Lolla.

I'd have fun, but that lineup doesn't overcome the hurdle of getting there, which is what I say about literally every festival aside from Riot Fest these days.
