I get the setlists talks but it's kinda crazy how everyone is acting like now they're the must see band. Like is it really going to make that much of a difference who is on guitar? If you were listening to the audio of a show would you be able to tell? Never saw anyone say that the reason they suck live is because of their guitarist.

This is another one of those you can say this about any band situations. Journey would be technically worse probably if Steve Perry came back to sing again but it would obviously be better. |

Who is acting like they're a "must see" band now? Beyond the fact that Frusciante is a significantly better guitarist than Klinghoffer, he gives the band a much needed boost of credibility that they have lacked over the last decade or so. Seeing the artists who actually created the art you're appreciating is always a much more satisfying experience, IMO. |

it would move more tickets than Sublime w/Rome and Bradley was a dead fan anyway gotta asssume if he survived these songs would get more technical and jammy anyway and G-Eazy brings in the kids and can come out intermittentlty to do some parts like that nas/damien marley tour its a great idea someone pay me.

having seen both slovak and frusciante on gtr w/ rhcp, I would have to say the band sounded better w/ frusciante. although the slovak show was opened by fishbone, who were on fire that night at the riv, and just made rhcp sound lethargic by comparison.

also, I would never have guessed we would be talking (excitedly?) about rhcp live at the end of 2019.

I'd be stoked on 3 headliners (Lizzo, Lana and MCR), would happily go and see 3 headliners (RATM, RHCP and Kendrick) and would actively avoid the other 2. That's a pretty damn good ratio.

I've never really listened to Bad Bunny so I can't comment on him, but damn actively avoiding Disclosure I didn't realize they were that offensive to some people Meh I've seen them twice and was pretty bored/disappointed both times. I really liked their first album at the time and went to their Lolla aftershow but was pretty unimpressed. Thought their second album was average at best, saw them at Coachella on that album and they did nothing to change my opinion of their live show. I have no interest in seeing them again. |

After that Disclosure show at the zoo I feel like I don't ever need to see them again. That was so much fun.
Bad Bunny would be the best headliner of that weekend.
Can't wrap my head around Lizzo being a south stager especially without a new album.

She’s an arena act at this point so it makes sense to me, at least to a degree. Apparently her crowd at ACL was absolutely massive, bigger than most of the headliners for that weekend, but I don’t know if that’s true or not.

Lizzo's crowd at ACL was massive, but she was on a side stage which probably made it seem a bit bigger than it actually was. She should definitely be a headliner next go around, but I wouldn't be surprised if she played the north stage.
