But truly rango it's active distaste vs minimal interest I dono if you realize how boring Pearl Jam is live if you are not a fan Again, if you're going to these Wrigley shows we've had for the past 6 years - PJ's only Chicago shows in a decade - you're getting insane setlists with wild song selections because its a destination show. They are tough shows for casual fans. Calling a Pearl Jam fest set "boring" is a dismissive take; there's a difference between a show being boring and just not enjoying it because you're not a fan. |

I could only see them booking GnR if they're going to make a conscious decision to target an older audience. Well, uh, GnR v. Lizzo would do that, yes. Might as well put GnR on the north stage in this scenario. |

They have some sets where they play Backspacer in full (for the fans) and other sets whre they play the Fixer 8 times in a row (for the masses). There's a subtle but meaningful difference

I didn't realize this all started because Pearl Jam is headlining some other Lolla which I guess makes them a possibility in the GNR spot but otherwise top 8
Riot Fest definitely lucked into that Rage reunion as their #1 headliner and I think it would be a pretty bad look for Rage to be playing lollaplaooza on the monsanto stage in 2020.

PJ aren't just headlining some other Lolla, I'm pretty sure they're booked for every single international Lolla. Even with that said I wouldn't be surprised if we get RHCP'd while ACL gets PJ again.
I'm also not convinced Riot Fest has the shekels to book Rage.

Damn. I was seriously considering Lolla Paris this summer. Would be fun to go back and Pearl Jam would be worth it.

My brain is still saying top 2 will be: G N R and Lady Gaga Earlier in the year arena tours by big crossover pop acts: Billie eyelash, Post Malone Success of Balvin last year means good liklhood of: Bad Bunny Someone confirmed: MCR Past multiple repeat headliners who are active: KOL, The Killers 8/9 spot alternates: Lizzo, Lana Del Rey, Cage The Elephant, Guns N Roses * Lady Gaga * Post Malone *MCR Billie Eyelash * Bad Bunny * KOL * LDR Lizzo * Cage The Elephant * Marshmallo * Blues Traveler Lolla actually sells out this year look at that easy enough Lizzo is headlining anything she plays next year. Maybe even the bigger stage. |
